I am really kind of torn right now. I really want to fursuit at some point but I'm kinda in the closet about being a furry so to speak. Almost none of my friends or family even know I'm a furry and I'm not really sure how I could go about being more open about it. I want to be more open about it but I'm afraid how people would react...

that happened to me too...
so i just decided to man up and showed everyone my suit xD they all didn't know what to think but i didn't care lol. You might not want to do that... that's just what i did xD

What I did is I just told my parents I wanted to make my own Halloween Costume c: They had no idea why I wanted to do it, but they didn't care anyway.
Eventually they found out about 'fursuiters' and how they're really furries, but thankfully they never did research on them or anything. With all of those furry stereotypes out there, I wouldn't go right up to them and say "Mom and Dad, I'm a furry". Chances are they'll think your interests are revolved around something sexual :\ I hate those stereotypes, cause now I can't be open about it with my friends. But none of my friends know sooo..
Yeah, good luck with that! Even next year for Halloween or a costume party might be a good time to do that.. Just so everybody thinks it's just another costume, and then you can tell everybody.

Something amazing happened to me <3 omg I was so happy. My friend drew my Fursona ,Oscar, as a Furry and he looked amazingggggg!~ It was beautiful!~ I shall post the pic later c:
