When you post your level-up on the archives, can you just keep going? Do I have to wait for permission to continue to the next level?

Seeking an archivist.
You MUST be detail oriented, consistent, and careful with your work. It is a huge job, and it is an important job... but it is not for everyone.
Please message me if you are interested. Include why you would be good for the job and any examples of past archive work/organization if you have them. I'm not looking for fancy coding. Experience is not necessary as long as you are a good fit.

Keep going, you don't have to wait. As long as you met the requirements you will be good. If you don't, you will be asked to fix it.

Art is one option. Selling art for C$ or even some artists will take art directly.

Everyone can win HMs (Honorable Mentions) in regular cat adoption competitions if an artist feels people put in effort on their forms but aren't selected as a winner. 5 of those add up to a semi-custom and 10 add up to a full custom.

Can you win HMs when you fill out stuff for the clanless cats also?

And I can't use a character on my clan thread that hasn't been created by an artist yet, right?

HMs can come from any cat competition. Just depends on the artist whether they will give some out or how many.

As for characters, yes, only rise characters can go in your thread(or site) for your Rise characters, and only your Rise cats count for the level-up tasks. You CAN have npc characters used along with your rise cats in competitions or in other work for fun, but npcs don't count toward those level up tasks. If you are waiting on a custom for example, you do need to wait until they are posted for them to qualify as being part of Rise.

You can definitely make plans for characters before you get them haha

It does take a while! I've been here since February and have 6 cats - only one was won from a competition. So it takes some determination, but it's totally worth it.
