Hello! I'm a collector, too, but I only have three Breyer horses thanks to the fact that obtaining them is hard where I live.
Are there any shows you guys host here? That'd be an idea for ya!

as far as i know, currently no shows are being hosted here. there used to be a featured model of the month / type of thing but i havent seen anything on it in quite a while. i do think it'd be fun though !

I was considering creating a mini breyer photo show for y'all on CS for fun, would there be much interest if I were to do that?

Oh yeah! Since I live in Canada, there's no photo shows available for me, so joining one would by totally hip! Well, maybe I SHOULD say, Yes! I'd join straight away!

Would Stablemates be able to participate? Breyers are very hard to find here so I don't have any bigger ones, I had to buy my Stablemates during overseas holidays or import them. My only bigger horses are Schleich/Collecta/Papo and china ones like Beswick (most of the china ones I bought during the same UK holiday, they are very expensive to buy here).

I've never done a photo show before but it sounds like a lot of fun so I hope I have something that can participate x3

I was planning on doing a few photo shows when I set up this thread. I just got my results back from the IMEHA shows this month and got a couple firsts, so I was pretty happy about that. Photo shows are fun! I'd be willing to help out if you do one Penultima, judge or contribute prizes, and still might do my own for the thread later. c:

just found this thread and im so happy i did! i used to be an avid collector i think 4 years ago but once school started back up again i kinda strayed from it i love model horses and i also love customizing them and making them unique! hopefully sometime in the future i will post my collection or some of my customs

Hmmm... So, has anyone had a Breyer with a broken leg?
My brother and I were playing w them outside, and I accidentally dropped my Wild Blue model... Not too happy about that :\

Another question. What's the best place to buy Breyer online? Amazon seems expensive for them, I found one for like $267 or so once?

Superglue for broken legs is what I generally do.

As for price, just change search parameters on ebay or amazon. You can find used/play/shelf quality models for under $20 sometimes if you mark that in your search specifications.
