Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.

      anyways... has anyone ever roleplayed a foreign person in another land? I'm currently roleplaying a French woman in America and gooosshhh my French is horrible so google translate ftw
      but still, I love it ;w;

      Seriously, I don't have one American / English / or just anyone with English as a first language as a character. I over-use Desi [ Indian ] people and French, too. I think it's just because I'm Hispanic / American and feel so bored of being here since birth without going outside the country that I feel the need to do this. And the fact I love foreign cultures too much. Geh. Something's wrong with me.

Do you guys ever get annoyed when people use famous people as pictures for their character?

Like, I feel like I annoy some people when I post a picture of Dany from GoT. It's just because she looks exactly like my character. For like two years it was impossible for me to find someone to represent my character, until last year, where I found out about GoT. I always use her pic for everything now, and im worried it annoys people iui

      I do like using Emilia Clarke too. Her role as Dany does fit one of my favourite characters, and she also fits another of my characters when she isn't in character and with her naturally dark hair.
      The one thing I don't like about using her, is that so many people use her too. I sometimes feel like I need to rush in and declare her as my face claim.

      @ fc's and stuff i tend to use less known faceclaims - ulrik munther, lorenzo cook/spark alaska, etc

      but i hate when someone's like "oh no i didn't use the faceclaim as the character as well"
      i hate that
      so much

I actually don't use faceclaime xP generally I don't use pictures at all for characters- I just don't want to take the time to find a picture that won't exactly fit
