Welcome everyone!! I have a weird relationship with Stephen King, I've only read a few of his books (The Shining, Thinner, like half of The Stand n half of The Long Walk) and I always find them mediocre but also super compelling and fun? I don't even know how to describe it lmao. I think I rate all of his books 3 stars and yet I keep going back for more. I definitely want to get through IT, Misery and some of the other big titles at some point.

picked up jane unlimited on friday and its a slow start. i think part of it is my adhd not letting me concentrate though, because i WANT to read but i just... cant! anyone else have this problem? x)

yes! i had this problem with jane, unlimited when i got it out a few months ago. i returned it to the library and i think i'm going to try again in a few more months

Yeah it's a bit more of a literary novel because it has a lot to do with how it was written and stuff. efinetly picks up though once you get to the part where the story stops being told linearly.

I remember someone posting here that Lies of Locke Lamora is their favorite book. I just finished it and OOohhhh my God it might be my new favorite book, too. I can't believe I slept on it for so long, it was absolutely incredible and I am the tiniest bit of self restraint away from going to the store to buy the rest of the series.

It's a heist turned revenge story about a thief named Locke and his gang. I don't want to say much more because it might be spoilery. It's absolutely hilarious and the characters and their relationships are sooo good.

Your favorite book and/or author: my favorite book is before i let go my marieke nijkamp, however my favorite author is rick riordan
Why is this your favorite?: i enjoy before i let go because it's unlike any other book i've read before. it's written differently from the other ya novels and the book gives off a strange vibe i suppose. i don't exactly know how to describe it. i love rick riordan because his books are all interconnected and put together extremely well, each full of detail and fun characters, i may or may not have read all of his books multiple times. gosh i'm bad at describing things
What genres do you like? mystery, horror, adventure, fantasy, realistic fiction
Fun fact about you: even though i have a bookshelf very few of the books i own are actually in it. most of my books are scattered around the house in odd places
Anything else?: wish i knew about the cs book club sooner!
