I think you can send cats on patrol every 12 hours, moonpool is every 7 days.

i don't have specific terrains of my borders, i do that so any clan can border with me if they wanted to

Yes, you have three more posts to stockpile prey. You can send out 2 hunting patrols in each post, each with a max of 6 cats. For every 2 cats on the patrol, you get 1 piece, so you can get up to 3 pieces in one patrol.
