I have been making waaay too many purchases lately! I completed my marwari conga just a couple days ago with a Kalahkaari, and the Nazruddin I got some weeks ago:


I also got a Shannondell and a Vahana, I have fallen in love with the mold! I can't wait for Markus to come out since I will definitely be grabbing one. And I did get a Saffron from the online Breyerfest leftovers and was super pleased to get a glossy, but he is a bit flawed and I decided that while I like the mold, I don't love it, so I'm selling him to make up some of the money spent on other models.

oh yeah! And I made a great local find a couple of weeks ago. Someone near me was selling their collection and I went to check it out, walked away with a big conga of Proud Arabian Foals for only $50, plus a rare FAF, and a Peter Stone drafter that I've already sold since I absolutely don't have room for the big guy!

I'm not keeping all the PAFs but I am keeping quite a few. They are so darn cute! <3

Hi everyone! Recently I've gotten back into breyer collecting. I went to my first breyerfest this year with my friends and it was great!

I got an extra SR ticket so I got Vahana, a chestnut Bollywood Surprise, and then three Saffrons in a mixup. I got matte at first, but when I opened him I was horrified to find an open crack in his face. I used my extra SR ticket to buy another one before I knew you could exchange flawed ones, and got a glossy ^^ I was like perfect, one of each, I hope I don't get another glossy when I exchange the flawed matte. Well... it was another glossy. I went back through the leftovers line on Sunday and managed to get a matte but he's a little flawed too. A lot of people I talked to were having trouble with flawed Saffrons which is upsetting because he's actually one of my favorites from this year's BF :c
I still love him though.

Right now I'm currently searching for Beachcomber, the 2017 flagship model ^^ Our flagship store only has it online which is odd to me, I thought those were in store only? I got Toro from them last year and he was only in store so I'm not sure what their deal is this year. Beachcomber is so pretty.

i'm quite fond of beachcomber as well!
i picked up toro earlier this year while i was in yellowstone - we spent a day in jackson hole, and one of their shops happened to be a flagship store! i saw him and just melted, i'm really happy with him!
i'm not too sure if i have a flagship close to me, otherwise i'd probably pick up beachcomber if i'm ever near one. i really loved the surprise models from BF this past year, i'm just trying to decide whom i want to purchase first!
they're all quite beautiful, though i'm mostly finding glossies - which, i don't own any traditional glossies, just stablemates, so i'm not too sure what my take is on them. at BF 2015 i almost picked up a glossy season... pretty sure it was winter that i looked at, but he was in-box so i couldn't totally tell if i liked how he'd look.
i hope you get to pick up beachcomber this year though!

congrats on completing your marwari conga! those new babs look gorgeous! and congrats on your find! i tend to notice little ads about breyers in our thrifty nickel, super saver type news ads that we have here, and craigslist, and i've spotted quite a few steals - just too lazy to go pick em up xD

Thank you! I hope so too, worst case I'll just tell them to hold it for me if I order online, but ideally I'd like to pick out my own to minimize flaws. Toro is one of my favorites in my collection, I'm glad you found him by chance!
Saffron is my first traditional glossy and I love him, I feel like it brings the shading out more on certain colors. I've always preferred matte finish, so if it wasn't for Breyerfest I might not have gotten one yet, but now that I have one I want more...
