Hm, guys, have you ever found yourself interested in something obscure, something that not many others read? Like, you love this thing, you read/watched it all, and then you go to find out that its fandom is minuscule. ⊙︿⊙

Also someone throw some manga at me I'm still reading this one, but I'm a multitasker and am never satisfied unless I'm reading two-three things at once.

Does The Earl and the Fairy have a small fandom? I read the first chapter from my friend and now she won't let me read the rest.

My friend is obsessed with a manga called Me and My Brothers, which I'm sure has a small fandom. I tried it. It feels like Fruits Basket, although with a good amount of humor and meaning sucked out.
This is a WIP.

Does anyone have an anime that is NOT like:
Fruits Basket
OHSHC
Vampire Knight
Soul Eater
etc.

I want something I've never watched before and wouldn't consider just by looking at it xD
Trying to get out of my comfort zone here

I have to say, LucLuv, that is a lot of good anime/mangas you are trying to finish. I haven't heard of Princess Princess, however. What is that like?

When It comes to OHSHC, I prefer the anime over the manga. I think it might have to be the different artwork, because that annoys me sometimes. Either way, I watched the entire season and, like everyone else here, really liked it. It's 26 episodes, so it might take a day or two to finish, if you have time. Generally, it is quite fast paced, so I doubt you will find it time-lagging at the least. A full explanation of the plot can be found here, if you are not already familiar with it. As discussed before, it is supper hilarious and slightly romantic with a couple of martial arts scenes. Overall, I highly recommend it! XD

New Black Butler chapter (Ch.77) came out today. The link can be found here, for those who are interested.

It will probably take me one day. I finished all 59 episodes of FMA in four days... but that could also mean I have no life. :c

Princess Princess is about an all boys school where the most beautiful boys are chosen to dress up like girls and are forced to cheer at school events. The are called 'princesses' and it is soooooooo funny! You HAVE to read it x3

The Earl and the Fairy looks like a pretty standard shoujo to me. It has a lot of chapters, though, and many discussions on Mangafox, so I wouldn’t say it’s too obscure, based on that. It kind of seems to fall in with the rest of the shoujo manga. Why won’t she let you read the rest of it?

@Dobby I second that. Though it’s not much about getting out of my comfort zone as much as I’m just bored and have watched/read all of those, haha. Hmm... most of those are shoujo too. [I’m sounding like a broken record here] but you can try Bokurano: ours, and Evangelion. They’re somewhat mature, though.

Also, I haven’t watched these yet, but I’ll slap them on here in case anyone’s interested.
-Welcome to the NHK [Romance, slice of life, supposedly funny.]
-Eureka Seven [Another mecha anime, adventure, romance, e.t.c]
    -Gunslinger Girl [Adventure, drama, sci-fi]
    -Persona: Trinity soul [Action, sci-fi]
-Baccano! [Action, fantasy, historical, pretty good from what I’ve heard.]
-Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann [Mecha, comedy, sci-fi. Go watch this now it’s pretty good.]
-FLCL [This one is crazy and I have no idea what is going on.]

Recommendations, hmm? It would be a pleasure to supply you with some! XD

Right now I am watching a mix of Guilty Crown, Durarara!, and Zetsuen no Tempest, and all of them are really good (all of them are action, BTW) .

Guilty Crown is kind-of a futuristic action with great art work and music. It's kind of hard to explain in words, but I recommend that you try it out.

Durarara!, compared to the others, as a bigger fan-base. It's takes place in modern times and follows a large group of main characters. It has quite a bit of action and has more of a... different vibe to it then most animes.

Zetsuen no Tempest is a fairly newer anime then the others and has a sorry line that, at first, is kind-of hard to follow. The whole story are based and have constant references to Shakespeare, which for a lover of the arts like myself, is really interesting.

Before I leave, I also want to recommend this anime I started yesterday, Mawaru Penguindrum. I absolutely LOVE this anime, and I have only scene the first two episodes. Yes, it does have penguins it, but I can't really explain the plot now. Try it out! I swear it is worth your time.

I can recommend not common animes...

Nabari No Ou-Manga- It is about ninjas; but not the weird kind. It is about a boy named Miharu is is 12 i think, and he holds all the information for the sacred art (kind of like the senka maiden in blackbird). He has to fight with his firends against other clans who want his power. I haven't finished it yet... But Miharu doesn't want anything to do with the sacred art.

Pandora Hearts-Manga- A rich boy named Oz's servant called Gil is posessed and tries to kill Oz. Oz finds a watch and he is sent to a place (can't remember what it's called) and finds Alice, a girl who can shift into the 'G-Rabbit' they made a pact to help get Alice's memories back, and go on an adventure! I also haven't finished this one.

Princess Princess-Manga- Description in my last post.

Ah, good. You didn't touch Shigure. He's mine.

I haven't seen a lot of anime, so most of my recommendations are mainstream.

Fruits Basket-This is about a girl who moves in with a cursed family. They change into the zodiac animals when hugged by the opposite gender. This was the first anime I watched and what got me hooked. It's very funny and endearing, and I recommend it to anyone.

Fullmetal Alchemist-One of the most mainstream animes is also my all-time favorite! Two brothers set out to find a fabled stone to heal their cursed bodies. This anime is amazing, has lots of action, some good humor, and made me cry on more than one occasion. I say you should watch this even if you hate all my other recommendations.

Ouran High School Host Club-This anime I started, stopped, and have now started again. A girl is mistaken for a boy, and made to be part of a host club. It's very, very funny and is filled to the brim with hot boys.

Black Cat-This I like, but don't recommend as strongly. It's about assassins, and a girl with nano machines in her body, who has the assassins after her. I like this one, but am not as into it-the plot is really complicated, and I can't watch more than 2 episodes without a headache.

So yep, that's what I've watched. Enjoy!
This is a WIP.
