School's almost here, or it even is here for a few of you! Wanna know why that's a surprisingly good thing? Well, you can start raising awareness of the Day of Silence from the start and maybe even set up to get your school involved later in the year in April! :3 I know that personally I had a few issues setting up anything to do with DOS in my school last year.

And as before, we're still, always will be, accepting more people into it's awareness on CS :3 So sign up >w<!

Why would you like to participate/support this cause?: I myself am a lesbian and it breaks my heart to read stories online and in the news about people like me committing suicide simply because others don't approve of what they are.

That's what I don't get! They think we're all equal, and yet treat us like we're lesser, at the same time they're acting lesser by treating us like we're some kind of freaks of nature, if you get what I mean?

Not all people are like that, but where I'm from, everyone I know acts like that. Which is why I'm not out yet. I haven't even told my parents, who are the most accepting people [about that] that I know, in fear that they'll slip and tell someone here. Every day I have to deal with listening to my friends' friends (not mine any more) make jokes about us every day, not knowing that one of 'them' are standing RIGHT NEXT TO THEM!!

(I'm sorry, I just feel strongly about this)

No no feel free to talk about it here, this is the perfect place to talk about it.

I understand how you feel, I've only come out to a few of my friends but not my parents. There are people here who accept it and people who hate it with a burning passion. Just today I was talking with my friend and her friend came up to say hi, I know her I talk to her but we're not what I consider to be friends. Anyway, we were talking about Obama's support of gay marriage and her friend went off on a rampage about how ridiculous it was and how if she had her way she'd rid the worlds of anyone that even hinted they were part of the LGBTQ community.

It really ruined my morning, I can't imagine living with it like you do though, everyday. I'm really sorry.
