So, we're currently discussing how to better improve the RP boards here on CS and I wanted to know if you guys had any ideas, since you're the people we're trying to make RPing better for. c:
Semi-lit+ board and breaking the RP boards down into more selective groups have both been suggested already.

The ability to have an OOC thread for your RPs would be nice. I've played on a few sites that have these and it makes things so much less cluttered and crazy!

Some roleplays make chatrooms. Or if you roleplay is really popular, you could just make a forum in the club and armies section right?

I agree with Holli though. Another down fall is that the creator could argue saying that their roleplay isn't dead or something.

This literally just came to me;

In the Oekaki Boards you can make it so only certain people can color in a drawing. Would it be possible to do that with roleplays? Private roleplays, mostly?

I already made the suggestion of a private roleplay section, that should help with unwanted people trying to join.

Maybe create a dead board to throw all of the dead roleplays into? Or for roleplays that are closed down and no longer being used. It'd make loading time faster, and it would be much more convenient when searching for a roleplay.

This may be difficult though... I'm sure there are hundreds of them here and there. D|

Yeeeeah, there are a lot. xD And then comes the difficulty on saying what is dead and what isn't, some RPs go into a coma for a couple of weeks and then come out of it again.

I had that idea as well, but only the minority of CS RPers would use those boards correctly, others would just use them to chat, which is against the rules because arguments start very, very easily. xD

Well to sort all of that, you could make it a rule or something so that when a creator has decided the RP is dead, they change the title so it indicates that it's dead. That way you and Kaycee know it is dead and can move it without argument. |3
Either that or, if possible, maybe Nick or someone could make it so that there is an option for the creator to manually move it to the "dead board". There would just have to be a option somewhere that only showed up on topics in the RP boards so people can't randomly move their threads there.
Actually, that's sparking another idea, but it stretches beyond the RP boards. You could make a dead board for the whole site, where all locked topics can go (from trading boards, RP boards, and etc.) That'd be really nice! It'd decrease a lot of clutter and make loading so much easier! |D

The problem with the dead RPs is that people don't do that, if they notified us, telling us it was dead, we could just delete them.

Dunno if it would work to have separate RP boards: quickfire rp section (for one liners and chatspeak), semi lit (for 2-3 paragraphs) and literate (3 or more paragraphs)? So that players can clasify their RPs depending on wha sort of Rpers they'd want. X)

The reason why I liked CS RP so much was that it wasn't so categorized -- scifi, fantasy, horror, etc is ok as long as they're categorized accordingly as human or animal.

But then I dunno the tastes of RPers today x)) just my opinion n.n

This literally just came to me;
