My only problem now is I also need to find someone who is going to be in the costume contest and wins it that'll sell me their glossy chestnut marwari prize model, which will pretty much be impossible, so I'm just going to hope one comes up for sale afterwards.
@Oratorio- Congrats!! Uncalled For is gorgeous, I used to own one back in the day and she was one of my favorites. A truly lovely model!
@Tenturo- Gorgeous collection <3 I especially love that Huckleberry Bey. Is he one of the treasure hunt herd stallions from some years back?
I guess I'll give a quick update on what I've been doing, which is selling most of my OF plastic horses. I'm trying to focus on resins entirely now, so this is where we are at on my shelves. The top is all resin. I do have an off-screen shelf of stablemates as well.
I've been to three shows this year so far, walked away with some nice big rosettes for a few of my horses. There are a few others but I was pretty proud of these guys in particular. The top saddlebred has never placed for me before and he was quite spendy so I have always hoped he would, and the bottom horse is pretty average and I never expect her to place, and she never has before this show, so not only getting a 1st but then also a reserve champion was quite a surprise!
I've got a blank resin off at the painters who should be done soon, and then I've got two new blank resins that I want to send off to get painted before I leave for the EU. Plus I'm bidding on a pretty pricy grail resin at the moment... yeesh, this hobby is such a money pit!
