ℑʜᴇ ℬᴜʀɴɪɴɢ ℛᴏsᴇ wrote:[center]Angel turned her head to glare, but didn't say anything. She watched as Dante left, and turned back to the kid. "Dear, what's your name?" she asked, hoping that now that Dante was gone she would open up a small bit. Lily chewed her lip, before she spoke. "Lily," she said, her voice scratchy from lack of use.
"That's a very pretty name," Angel said, smiling. "Are you bit at all? Did the...
Zombies attack you?"
Lily shook her head, tears filling her eyes. "T-they got my m-mommy," she sniffled. Angel felt her heart give way, feeling sorry for the poor girl who had gotten left behind. She pulled Lily into her arms, feeling the girl's shivering and sobbing. "We won't hurt you, and no one is getting left behind again," she said fiercly. Try couldn't just leave a defensless child to die and be eaten.
Jace cracked an eye open, and shrugged. "I didn't want to get anything all dirty," he mumbled, pushing himself into a sitting position. He watched as Dante walked upstairs, knowing that Vanessa was crying- he could hear her, but didn't say anything. He got up slowly, wishing he couldn't slept for more than five minutes. He was slightly puzzled at Dante's word but just shrugged, going to the kitchen. He moved his shirt to dry on the edge of a chair so he could make room to help clean up the child when Angel brought it in. He knew Dante wouldn't be able to talk Angel out of it, though looking at their meager food supply he really didn't think they had enough to support all of them. Raking a hand through his hair to push the shaggy locks out of his eyes, getting the sink plugged and water running into it.
"Vanessa!" he called loudly. "Come down when you can! I'm guessing we're all gonna need to be down here..."
Angel looked up when Dante came back, she was sitting up against the tree with the child curled up in her lap, crying softly. She smiled up at Dante, and nodded. "Lily? We're gonna go to the house, okay?"
Lily looked up uncertainly, but nodded slowly, so Angel picked her up, holding her firmly. "Let's go," she said softly, picking her way back to the yard, out of the tall grass. Shark followed right in her heels, looking up at then.
She came in the back door, and looked to Jace, who sighed. "Angel..." he said in exasperation, but she only shook her head. "Not now Jace."
Angel sat Lily down on the counter, staying close though. "This is Jace, my brother," she told Lily. "He's just as nice as Me. You can trust him, okay?"
Lily nodded, taking in her surroundings with wide, silent eyes.

I know not many people may have read the books, but I love them. :D

I definitely feel like I'm in the mood for something like this, only from the point of zombie dogs. ;>.> Much like the book Dust! I think it'd be lots of fun, mostly because it'd be a ton of blood thirsty dogs going after normal dogs. I was thinking of people make either zombie or alive dogs and they could duke it out or something.. :3
Would anyone even be interested in this though? I've noticed a lot of Human RPs lately and not so many animals.. q.q
I would, most definitely. c: It sounds great, plus it'd be a new twist on dog roleplays. I've never heard of this idea.
Awesoooooome!(: I'll have to work on writing it out!

I look at Jeremy, my eyes wide. I grab a pillow off one of the couches and chuck it at him, hitting him in the face "Jeremy!! Stop!" my voices rises a octave, and my cheeks become a patchy red "Stop talking about that, I dont want to know many more months we have left here, I dont want to know about the sun exposion, or what ever" My blue eyes wide and dialated with panic "I dont want to hear about the two months left of food we have" {She said some things wrong on purpose c;} I start to gesture wildly with my hands, and Rose trots over and whines at my feet, pawing at my legs. I lift her into my arms and close my eyes, taking a few breaths. "okay" I say quietly "Okay, we are going to be okay" I repeat. I look over at Mitch "yes, yes thats right, what is good about this situation? Um..We can bond closer, we can have some fun, play games, sleep in, maybe it will warm up a bit..." I trail off and jump, smiling "I brought a bunch of games!" I exclaim, I look around at everyone "want me to go get some?" I ask, my head cocked to the side slighly. I smile, thinking back to ninth grade "hey guys, remember ninth grade when we went camping together?" I ask, a grin spreading across my face "This reminds me of it, a lot" I giggle lightly, remembering the hilarious camping trip. "Im sure, one day we will look back on this and laugh about it" I tell them
Second_Choey wrote:"Gah, those guys are just frustrated because they can't get any from the girls here," Nathan snorted with contempt. "I'd love to see their faces if I got the part. Not like it's worth it, though. I'll just hang around in the back as, like, a swordsman or something. I don't even ****ing care." Nathan scowled at the homeroom teacher. It seemed like he was still talking about the play. How much could one talk about such things? Weren't there other announcements to get to?
Nathan glanced around the room to look at some of the reactions of the other guys as Wess continued to tell Nathan how he wasn't going to audition. Nathan snorted to show that he had heard while taking in some guys laughing and grinning with a devious look. Well, at least Wess was right about one thing -- the competition would be ... interesting. He suddenly had a very low drive to audition for these things.
He was about to agree with Wess, already thinking of the English project that he could do, when the teacher shouted, "Nathan!"
Nearly jumping out of his seat in shock, Nathan snapped his gaze at the homeroom teacher, who was eyeing him smugly. "I'm sure you'll be very eager to audition?"
"...Excuse me?" Nathan said, his voice dull, monotonous, and very sarcastic, forgetting that he was talking to the guy that communicated his behavior and grades to his parents one a quarter.
"I've heard from your teachers that you're quite well - versed in Shakespeare," the teacher was smirking. "You'd be a perfect match."
"Uh, no," Nathan stated stoutly. The guy was making all the **** up. Nathan was not much better than Wess in Shakespeare. You didn't see the teacher shouting at him. What did he ever do to this guy, anyway?
"I insist upon it," the teacher nodded sagely, as if it were the most momentous and important decision he had ever made. "I'll be eagerly awaiting your application, okay?" Nathan didn't respond, only glowered before putting his head on the desk in frustration. If that wasn't a veiled threat then Nathan's hair was green._____________________________________________________________________________

She finished off the bagel and brushed off her hands before swiping the crumbs off her jeans. She chuckled as she spotted Coraline's tongue sticking out. It seemed like Coraline was more of the fun - loving side that Eden never had indulged in. They complemented each other well.
"Ah, that's true," Eden frowned. She had forgotten for a moment about Coraline's busy schedule. Eden was honestly curious, however, if Coraline was interested in trying out. When she heard that her parents would sign her up, however, Eden realized that all those school productions may not have been entirely by Coraline's choice. Shrugging, Eden said, "Whatever. Just don't tell them anything." Eden grinned up at her friend before turning back to the homeroom teacher. In truth, Eden felt that Coraline was quite an actress. Alright, so she might not be on par with some of the stars right now, but with practice Eden thought that Coraline had a chance. In any case, she was way better than some of the girls here, and Eden couldn't help feeling that those girls would misrepresent their school as one full of dumb blondes.
But she was probably biased.
The teacher was finishing up her little speech, and as she slipped in the school name Eden felt her eyebrows disappear into her hair line. Weren't their schools known for their rivalry? What did they think it would achieve, pairing the schools up for a play? This wouldn't end well. At all.
As the bell rang to indicate the end of homeroom, Eden rose while saying, "I have calc, so I'll catch you later." She threw Coraline a quick smile.

I dropped her hands immediately. "Don't you dare tell me what will happen. H*ll, if you are going to do that, this is never going to work." I told her before she left. God, she makes me heated. Anger pulses through my veins as I stalk off in my father's direction. He is talking with the other king. "I will not marry her. I would rather give up my crown and line to be king than to marry that wretched woman." I told him. Both kings looked at me, then my father looked at the Ortega king, mouth open as if to say sorry for the behavior I am using. But the king brushed it away. "No, I understand. She has always been that way. I have heard that you like to mess around, well she doesn't. She's knowledgeable and I regret letting her continue her studies. Although she is my daughter." He said rather calmly. I looked at him. "I am sorry, but I can never commit to marrying someone like that." I told him once more. The king nodded. "Give her one more chance. If you still do not find that you can deal with her personality, than we will have to do a ballot." I looked at him confused. "A ballot?"
Interesting. So, if she proves to be as stubborn as an ox, and she will not try to at least accommodate me, and me accommodate her, than a ballot would be held. Each prince and princess will put in their ballot. Eldest prince gets their wishes first. That is why we are supposed to be getting to know everyone today, because the kings new that this would happen. They would pair their children wrong. And they do not want unhappy children running the kingdom.
I strode on over to Bella, looking majestic if I do say so myself. I sit in a chair next to her. "I am going to try this once more. We have to accommodate each other to make this work. I am trying. Look, I am even talking civilly to you. I could be yelling for the way you talked to me before, but I held my tongue. So, I ask you once more, are you or are you not going to try to make this work? I don't have time for you if you are not willing." I tell her honestly expecting another outbreak.
