but how exactly would the gathering work? I understand that I can send my leader/deputy/medicine cat and six others if I choose, but do I post what exactly they are looking for / what they say when they are there?

it's like a roleplay! you show your cats getting there + then you can reply to others and interact with others like you would in a roleplay.

So I've always found this interesting and I figured I'd share this lil' question real quick if no one minds.

How would your cats handle a cat's colour changing. Points and in particular amber since it only comes in later on? How would they react? Would it be seen as some sort of sign or something divine? Or would they know about it and just maybe change names and move on?

For those that may not know, amber refers to a recessive gene, to my knowledge, found only in Norwegian forest cats. It basically causes cats to start changing colour, first with just a patch on the back and eventually turning essentially ginger and it only kicks in somewhat later in life. At least when compared to points which start appearing relatively early. I think Amber would start to appear at maybe older kit to young apprentice age or so?

@Chinchy, I'm not sure how my cats specifically would react to a cat's coat changing color since they'll be dealing with their own special markings some time in the future. To be honest though, cats might not really have much of a reaction because plenty of cats change color throughout their life. Any pointed cat, for example, starts out very pale/white in their youth but then they darken over time.

I do think you can still have fun with the color change. It would be cool for your cats to think that their kin was chosen by the gods, but you could also have them see it as something bad. They might think that the cat is possessed and that some malicious ghost has come to take over said cat's body (with the color change being seen as the ghost's appearance taking over/replacing that of the cat's). I don't know. I think it'd be fun to incorporate color changes and various other physical things into the way the clan's culture and religion works c:
