Well, I went into the AH to see if I could snipe a derg because why not. So I sort them by price and forget to exclude the gems. I start going through a few pages and low and behold there he is.

Navy/black/lavender (progen was navy/black/stone if you didn't read the other post)
I don't care. I bought him.
He even has the genes I wanted, and Light eyes. ;u;

The only maintenance they do regularly is at rollover (so 0:00-0:30 FR time). It's been this way since I joined (which was before open registration closed) and it doesn't sound like it'll be changing anytime soon. Although I know how you feel. I always try to sneak in a few more coli battles before it hits.
