Just finished The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams and really enjoyed it. I'm interested to hear if anyone else read it and had any thoughts on it?
It's not fantasy, but I'm now reading Ghosts of Gold Mountain: the Epic Story of the Chinese who built the Transcontinental Railroad by Gordon H. . The actual historical content is super interesting but occasionally the author slips into a more scholarly/meta-analysis/preachy style of writing that yanks me right out of the story and makes it a bit difficult to continue for a hot second. It's a shame cause it really pulls down a clearly well researched book, just by constantly trying to rub n your face how important it is for this book to exist. Mini-gripe over

Also does anyone have any tips for where to find extensive, active online book clubs?
I've been perusing Goodreads but most of the clubs I found that I liked haven't really been that active since mid-2018, but I feel like it's just that I don't really know where to look yet. I'd really like to find one (or a few!) that does a variety of reading challenges and books of the month and buddy reads.
