I've always thought that Hiccup's first-movie appearance was less impressive, hence me not wanting to watch Riders of Berk for a while (but now I want to watch it, duh). A lot of it was the haircut. I get that he was supposed to be some scrawny kid who couldn't do much, but, with all due respect to the animators and artists, his hairstyle kind of looked like turd. Now that that's out of the way, WOW SOD HAS TITAN SNOW WRAITHS NOW! They look really cool. I just got one. I have no idea about the scene, lol. But did you know that Toothless is the first character seen in the first movie? He's flying around during the Dreamworks intro.

I kid ye not, this was the first connection my brain made when I first /really/ looked at Hiccup.

Also, I did see someone mention Toothless in the intro (long before I made this thread); I had to play it for myself a couple of times to catch him, but he's there~ <3 <3 <3

@Noni: Laughing way harder than I should.

Has anyone else noticed the odd stat differences of similar dragons in SoD? Toothless is by far the fastest, with the best turn and pitch rate, followed by the similarly-shaped Sand Wraith, with almost as good speed, turn rate, pitch rate, and acceleration, and then there's the Wooly Howl, with almost the exact same body as both of the aforementioned, but which should be more aerodynamic than the Sand Wraith because of the tails,

It seems odd to have a dragon with the same build and a broader tail, more similar to Toothless, to be less aerodynamic than a dragon with hardly a tail fin at all.

Also, I'm probably the only one, but is anyone else bothered by the naming system of dragons? Deathsong and Slithersong are similar, but Sand Wraith and Snow Wraith are completely different. One has a similar build to Toothless, and the other looks like a rhino/pony hybrid with wings. Why name them both 'Wraith' if one of them is a rhino?

I've never really liked the Snow Wraith's appearance, as I've always thought it should be much larger, and less... rhino-ey. Maybe like this? I mean, not quite as big or realistic, and a little more HTTYD-style, but in size similar to Cloudjumper in comparison to Toothless, and shaped more like a typical Western Dragon than whatever it is in RTTE. I don't at all like the Snow Wraith's appearance, and although I get that it sees heat signatures and that that's relevant to the plot, realistically a dragon that lives in almost constant snowstorms should probably have excellent vision to see through the snow. I feel like the Snow Wraith would have gotten more appreciation if it had been more powerful. The current Snow Wraith is hard to see in snow, but if you put yourself in the characters' places, does that make it really so terrifying? (I know it wants to kill them, but still, they could try to train it without whopping it with a stick.) What would have been much more frightening is a giant dragon that can see you, even in a heavy blizzard, and can never be spotted against the snow. Maybe its weakness could have been bad hearing. It wouldn't have evolved to have owl-like hearing, as there aren't a lot of things it needs to hear, or any, for that matter. It would have made a better dragon and a more interesting episode, in my opinion.

I've heard that new RTTE episodes come out on Netflix January 1st. Is this true? PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE. I WILL WELCOME THEM WITH OPEN WINGS AND BINGE-WATCH THEM ALL!

@Tankie: As far as I've heard, no official date has been announced for the next season My guess is the end of January, but that's just speculation. Hopefully it will be soon though!

Aren't we all kinda tired of Heather at this point? I mean, she was a good character for a while, then after the death of Dagur she didn't have a single episode to herself and she was just a background character most of the time. Also, why did they have to end season 3 on a cliffhanger? WHYYYYYYYYY?

Honestly the most annoying part about Heather to me is this "Stay or go" thing she has going on.

I understand that her mental state has been severely damaged over the years, but it's just plain stupid of her to keep thinking that leaving is going to solve everything. The riders have done nothing but offer her a stable environment since we met her again in RTTE. She's certainly not as bad as Dagur, but she isn't all mentally there; She /needs/ to be around people that accept and care for her, or she won't heal much at all.

Knowing that we don't see her at all in the second movie though, I'm going to guess she went with the "Go" option again.
It would be interesting to see her show up in 3, but she's more of a series exclusive character I think.
Like Gustav, although I /w.i.s.h./ he'd been in 2. xD

Speaking of Fics, I need to stop reading so many. xD
But like...HiJack is the only ship I've ever cared about this much.
Usually Crossover Ships are so, /so/ bad *Cough Jelsa Cough*, but Hiccup and Jack can be written into each other dynamics so well!

Like Writting jack into HTTYD; **Jokul Frosti was the name Vikings used to reference him, He's /in/ Viking culture to some extent. Perfect Reason for Hiccup to be able to see him, right?
