You are a good mini-mod! I'm just on 24/7, because I don't have a life, so I can get things done. Although I won't have internet connection this evening. So sad. I'm going to have to read my books, which I don't mind. :)

Thanks you guys (: I'm glad that a group like this popped up, now there is a place where I can talk and learn more about steampunk where the people really know things about it, haha.

Equality, Spirituality, Freedom, and Unity all require a simple, yet almost unattainable thing. Balance. And yet, when the world breaks us down to our most basic level, that is when we are open to the greatest change.

Username:
Magique

Alias:
I go by Mags or Magi, but for the purposes of Steampunk, I shall be Maggie Rotherham.

Title:
Lieutenant

Career:
Steampunk-wise, Oh, I'm a bit eclectic really. I research the genre, I read books, I write, I roleplay, sometimes I draw. I don't know how to explain it really, so no really set in concrete career.

Journey:
Oh, I've only just stumbled upon Steampunk, someone mentioned it and I'd never heard of it before so I decided I'd do alittle bit of resarch. Well, I'd always been quite interested in retro-returistic views on the world and strangely engineering, and Victorian is one of my favourite time periods so I guess I just got into it from there really.

Preferred Style:
The Engineering most definitely. I just love the cogs and the whirring, the new creations and the idea of ridiculous and insane inventions, it's brilliant. I like the fashion too, and I really love the supernatural elements some writers throw into the story to give it that extra interest.

Welcome to the group! The Victorian Era is probably the most amazing era, if you ask me.

It looks like we have a healthy amount of members now! Should we get a conversation started?

Thank you c:

And yes, I really liked learning about Victorians in school, and it was the most fun to do when we had to dress up for a day - mind you, I always went in as an orphan or a peasant c:

I've got some books to add to the list at the front, they are as follows:
The Parasol Protectorate Series by Gail Carriger
Corsets and Clockwork by Trisha Telep (A Collection of 13 Steampunk Romances)
Steampunk! An Anthology of Fantastically Rich and Strange Stories by Gavin J. Grant

I want to go to your school. We barely learn about Victorians, thus I must dress up on my own time. :(

Books being added!

Aah, we don't do it any more, it was in my primary school and infant school. We had Edwardian Day, Victorian Day, all sorts, it was really fun.

Don't know if this counts but my current coat that I wear everywhere I like to think is steampunk-y.

Eep! Love it! All it needs is some brass buttons.

I actually don't own any steampunk clothing, mostly because it's too expensive. I do have some jewelry, though. I hope to one day be brave enough to walk around in pulbic in "outrageous" clothing. I'm just too nervous. I'm working on it, though. I only buy clothing that has Victorian elements, like ruffles and high collars. I think I'm doing pretty well so far.

Username Zanaia Swift
Alias My steam-punk alias is Lara Marie de Corriedo… Lara is fine though!
Title Captain
Career Full-time Airship Captain, sometimes adventurer, sometime mad scientist.
Journey I’ve been obsessed with the style since I saw Atlantis The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet. I didn’t know it was steam-punk, of course. I started to really know the subculture my freshman year (four years ago.)
Preferred Style I love everything about Steam-Punk. The fashion, the music, the concept. I love the idea of airships and pirates and post-apocalyptic adventure!

I have a steampunk club as well... Its currently me and another person... :)
