I loved all of those dramas! My first was Boys Over Flowers at the recommendation of my best friend. I think my second was My Secret Romance which was pretty good and I’ve thought about trying to rewatch. My favorites though are probably Suspicious Partner and Fight My Way both of which I’ve watched multiple times. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is probably my third favorite as I’ve watched it all the way through twice. I think my preference rn is dramas with a little bit of suspense or mystery and obviously main leads with good chemistry. Are there any new dramas that you’ve watched that you would recommend?[/quote]

Right! There was a Chinese remake of it called Meteor Garden but nothing will ever beat the Korean version!! Koreans always do dramas better! 🌹

awwh weightlifting fairy is one of my favorites ! it is romance-centered so i get why you didnt stick with it , i just loved their chemistry sooo much hahah

i dont usually watch non-romance shows , but some recent kdramas with a more plot-driven story ive seen are:


he is psychometric - thriller/mystery about a guy (played by jinyoung from got7) solving a crime by using his ability to see the memories of the people he touches , theres a romance subplot but it isnt super obnoxious , i watched it as it was airing and it pissed me off that i couldnt binge it because i got super invested in it lmaoo
w two worlds - fantasy/thriller about a girl traveling to her father's webcomic world and meeting the main character who almost died from a murder (if i remember correctly , its been a long time since ive seen it lol) , theres a bit of romance but also not the main focus , i really liked how it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and there were tons of twists
extracurricular - high school drama , a really short watch (10 episodes ~45 min each) , very little romance , i cant really give the plot of it bc it probably goes against cs rules lol but i enjoyed it ! not a typical kdrama since it was produced by netflix and is way more explicit than typical korean tv-aired dramas

or i have way more reviewed/rated shows on mydramalist if you need any more recommendations ! i hope this was helpful ! c:
