I absolutely hate Yukari xD I think she has an awful personality.

I actually am cool with Junpei though? I LOATHE his English VA with my whole heart. But I think Junpei's just a sad loser kid trying to act like he's got his crap together. You find out he secretly has a really messed up family life, but he's not some angst machine like Yukari is; he's trying to act like he's really cool and sociable and funny all the time so that no one finds out. Like he is SO DANG ANNOYING but I think they wrote him that way on purpose cuz he's trying to over compensate for all of the negativity in his life. He's not my fav character, but P3 had a lot of super angsty and mature protags so Junpei was a nice balance.

I actually like the dynamics of the protags in P4 better for that reason - they act more like high school kids, their problems in life are more due to real life stuff like bullying and pressure from society rather than stuff like "my dad died while doing crazy secret experiments on innocent children" - without Junpei there to be the single character who does have a bad family life but his main issue (jealousy) is stupid adorable and unrelated to that issue then there would have been no break from everyone else's gloomy attitudes

Not that I dislike the P3 guys omg no I love my P3 buttheads I'm just saying the friendships and character development in P4 was a lot more realistic and meaningful to me
