Do you own a golden? Yes, one.
If so, what is his/her name and gender? Angel, girl. She's light gold, so she looks like angel food cake. That might've been why her previous owners named her that.
How and where did you get your Golden? My cousins adopted her from a rescue, but she ate one of their chickens. So they gave her to us!
Do you compete in any sports or participate in any special activities? No, she's six/seven and likes playing or long walks, but she doesn't have the best behavior around other dogs (she's really submissive) and people (she wants to be pet all the time and is very skittish).

WOW! She has a lot of energy <3 Goldy use to weave through a rolling hoop when she was younger. It was so much fun doing little stunts like that with her!

Welcome, Narnian4ever! I love that your Golden is a rescue. My mixed breed dog, Lola {Click on her link in my signature} ate quite a few of my chickens, but what's done is done. We repaired the fence and made it stronger, and Lola hasn't gotten in since!

Dixie attacked Stitch this morning. (He's fine but very shaken up and has just about lost a back tooth.) :c She NEVER even growls at Stitch! There were no toys/chews/etc lying around, and no food or water either. I was brushing her while she was lying on her side and Stitch came in the room. He didn't look at her or anything - was just walking past us. She didn't give me much warning this time either. :c She's always gotten along well with Stitch. And she was fine earlier - even played with Murdoch awhile.
I don't want to give up on her, and she's even shown some improvement, but...She's now being confined to one room 24/7. That's not fair to a big active dog like Dixie. I keep thinking she would be happier and it'd be best all around if she found a good one-dog home, but I don't want to lose her. Or maybe I'm just being selfish. I know she's happier as an only dog. She's so stressed and tense here.
(For those who don't know, Dixie is dog aggressive, despite being heavily socialized and raised with 3 other dogs. We've been working on this issue for about 2 years now.)

After that ordeal I took her out to help us both loosen up. It helped us a lot. <3Thanks, Saracirce <3

I was recently told that dogs sometimes undergo personality changes after their first heat. Anybody else hear this?

I ask because Dixie's first heat was about the same time she began exhibiting aggression toward other dogs.

I wouldn't know, all my dogs were spayed/neutered before anything could happen : (

I'm sorry to hear about Dixie, Dog Aggression is a hard thing to beat. Are you for sure going to re-home her?

I'm hoping we can get through it eventually, but I just really really don't know. :c I hope I won't have to - I don't want to give up on her, but it is a VERY hard decision for me. She's a part of me! But I also asked my Dad for his opinion, and he said he doesn't know if he could handle seeing her rehomed. and here I thought he didn't like her.
I just honestly don't know. :c I will continue working with her in the meantime. Hopefully Stitch hasn't developed any severe fear issues. It may be difficult working them together if he has.

She seems back to herself, though she is being kept seperate. I haven't been able to work with her either because of the cold front that's moved in, unfortunately, so I'm not sure if she's regressed in her rehabilitation (not exactly the word I wanted, but I'm having a total mindblank xP)
