I'll delete this post if it isn't wanted, I just thought some numbers might help you guys out. I got this from the "Understanding Rarities Guide"

Right now the rarities are:
OMG so rare! (less than 1 pet per 1000 users)
Very rare (less than 1 pet per 80 users)
Rare (less than 1 pet per 25 users)
Uncommon (less than 1 pet per 5.5 users)
Common (less than 1 pet per 3 users)
Very common (more than 1 pet per 3 users)

I'm not sure what the current number of members is, but last November we celebrated reaching 200,000, so I'll assume that's the number, even though there are probably more now.

So if a pet is very common, there's more than 66,666 of them. Common pets are between 66,666 and 36,363. Uncommon pets are between 36,363 and 8000. And rare pets are between 8000 and 2500. So to make an uncommon pet rare, you may have to delete around 20,000 of them, depending on which end of the spectrum they're at.

Just thought it might help you out. If not, let me know and I'll take this down.

That's probably going to help. I don't think you'd have to actually delete that many, though, because there are also members that join every day. Not a lot, but a bunch of them. So you would really only have to delete around 18 000 - 17 500, of each outcome. You also don't know how many there are, either, because there can be between 36,363 and 8000 of them. So, technically, you might only need to delete something like 10 000 - 15 000 of a certain outcome. I dunno exactly how many there are, though.

I can get the exact numbers for this for you guys x3

As of this moment, the newest member is #346547
However, there are many deleted accounts, but I don't think those are counted in the above system.

So exact numbers would be:
OMG so rare!~ Less than 346
Very rare~ 347-4331
Rare~ 4332-13861
Uncommon~ 13862-63008
Common~ 63008-115515
Very common~ 115516+

So to make a dent in the economy, you'd need to go for uncommons or rares, and you're not exterminating rares.
With uncommons, the gap between the largest possible amount and the smallest is 49146. Which is a lot. Try for about half of that, which is a bit less than 25000, 5000 more than WolfPatronus' calculations x3
Some uncommons will be rarer than others too, which will need to be taken in to consideration.

I don't want to be part of the deleting side of this, but I'll happily do any mathematical calculations you guys need x3
