no they dont they film it in between the movies hunger games wasnt finished editing till the 2ed of march

they hadnt started filming on the 12th of march ,the actors where having some time off befor filming so they might be filming now but theres nothing to conferm that, apart from the fact there selling disterict 12 for 1.5 million dollars

No, it is not filmed yet.
The reason why the film is only releasing 2013 is because Jennifer Lawrence {Katniss} is filming two or three other movies and they have to fit in Catching Fire to her schedule. Same goes for why Xmen First Class Sequel is only coming out 2014.

They are still deciding whether to seperate the book into two movies or not. It was mentioned during the premiere interviews by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, and they might cut it off right where {SPOILER} Peeta tries to kill Katniss. Yeah I know, suspensful. D:
