Ten; I really like Dracula's design! Her mechanical hand is cool~

Vice didn't want to kill Plague Dream, since she saw Tane still deep inside her, so she went to confront the secret that created Plague Dream in the first place. This secret couldn't corrupt her, because she's already corrupted by a different force, but she'd be redeemed if she destroyed the knowledge of the secret.

Ebon; Deuce has to have one of the coolest character designs. Congrats on getting the awesome art!

My form was so simple and incomplete compared to everyone else's, I know I only had a chance because everyone else wanted the wolf and so I was mostly alone in my love for Turtle :'3 I wasn't even done editing the form, I wanted to add another picture and fix the marking mistakes on the two images and maybe add a theme song and stuff... but I lost track of the days, they all run together when you get up, work, eat, work, eat, work, eat, work, and go back to bed. 3:

Woo! Finally, something that's not a pony! Been so busy developing my new ponies, I haven't had a chance to draw anything other than them until now! This is Acer Lizard, one of my favorites out of all of my characters~ She's basically an anthro mammal like reptile with a sharp, jagged metal formation on her head.



Also drew Pale Heart in a non-FIM style. Ehh... Also one of my favorite characters~

Wandering sketch: Ahah, yeah, she is a bit all over the place.

Turtle is such a cute name for him. I know what you mean about losing track of time, especially with character forms.

Tanetane: It's nice seeing non-pony art! (though of course I don't mind the pony art either, but variety is good) It's pretty odd seeing Pale Heart in a different style, I have to admit.

I have some art of this character to show...Unfortunately I don't have much to say about the character, as I haven't decided much. They're probably going to be a bit of a mischievous prankster who is young and frustratingly stubborn. Will probably be somewhat fussy unless determined. Not even sure of gender, much less name... I think they'll be more of an art character than a story character, as much as I hate that.

Finally drew Fading Daylight, Pale Heart's mother. She's a shy and insincere Pegasus who keeps all of her insults to herself. Daylight's a bad liar, so ponies tend to know when she's judging them just by the tone of her voice. She loved Pale Heart, but was convinced by Pale's father, Coal Heart, to leave when Pale grew up.

@ ebon: I like how the barcode tattoo isn't on the neck. And whatever the dog ends up being he's already got an adorable face.

@ Tane: ok girl you need to go make a weebly site just for these ponies with a family tree and each ones story and then like a block with a monthly update on the big story so that I can have an easy place to go to read and see all this epicness lol.

So the other day I was playing dragonage tabletop and my character had a nug (hairless bunny thingy). Will her first nug died less than an hour after she got it because she was mugged and she kinda roasted the nug when she was trying to frighten off the muggers so she could escape due to the guards ignoring the fight. So she got a second nug and had it over a month and loved it. Will the group went to ferilden (excuse my spelling) and visited the city elves. City elves are rude jerks man and pretty much ran our party out of their area. Later the thieves guild from their shot a poisoned arrow with a letter saying don't come back, right into my girls nug. And this is all 5 min after i decide I'm gonna draw her nug and make it an online character. So she gets all upset and the drawf in the group is inconsiderate of her feelings (unlike the kanari oddly) and her opinion of him goes down. Will my girl gets a new pet, a cat who drank her lithium and turned blue. On the way back to ozamar the drawf gets tricked by a demon and now all of ozamar is doomed. This is the life and times of Grindolen something the circleish Mage.

First time Weebly has came to my knowledge. I'll start working on figuring it out. Meanwhile, here's a little giant summary on the family tree. Warning, it's loooooong.




Red Velvet, Miracle Locket, and Lantern Light's parents are currently not very important to the story and are nameless, undeveloped ponies. Not going to show you what Lantern Light looks like because she needs a revamp.

Platinum Spell and Blaze Blight are the parents of Ember Spell and Silver Flame (currently The Weeping Mare). Platinum Spell and Coal Heart are distant relatives.

Ana Vesca and Strawberry Savor have a child named Strawberry Jr. Ana Vesca has a distant relative named River Shine, who becomes Pale Heart's mate.

Coal Heart (no pic yet) is distantly related to Platinum Spell. Fading Daylight's and Coal Heart's child is Pale Heart. River Shine becomes Pale Heart's mate and carries on the family line. Years after, Tanetane and Capital Vice are born to currently unnamed parents, who are descendants of Pale Heart.

Umbra and Penumbra, two brothers, are born to currently unnamed antelopes (no pics yet).


As for a summary in general, here's the shortest version I can conjure. Some details are left unexpanded upon because this is already as long as it is.

What started this tale that stretches across centuries is Umbra and Penumbra's mother. Her mate left her because she couldn't produce a child, so she turned to an eldritch entity who was the first strain of black magic. This entity was worshiped by a small percentage of antelopes at the time, but was feared by most for it's strange powers. She prayed to the entity and asked it of a child, and to her surprise, she earned two. Umbra and Penumbra were born, twins. Both were born with strange, unnatural coats and Penumbra was born blind. Their mother kept that fact they were born from black magic a secret from them, and waited for her mate to return. He never did. Meanwhile Penumbra wished for sight and practiced black magic in secret to give him sight. Umbra found Penumbra practicing the taboo arts and killed his brother on the sight. The entity was enraged, and cursed Umbra to be his everlasting servant, and gave him a horn made of crystal, so he could practice the magic he once feared so much. The entity was forced to sleep underground for eons after a young Celestia and Luna banished it to the center of the earth, Umbra being dragged with it.

Years later, Equestrian antelopes have disappeared. Millions of black magic users flee to the Necromancer Woods to seek refuge, waking up the entity by the concentrated amount of black magic. Umbra rises to the surface to carry on the work of the trapped entity, stuck in the center of the earth, who starts to slowly spread it's influence.

Coal Heart, and Platinum Spell, two ponies, related, yet distantly, carry on their family tradition: Black magic. Platinum Spell meets Blaze Blight, another unicorn who shares his interest in black magic. They have fillies Ember Spell and Silver Flame, before Blaze Blight meets death by execution. The royal guards found her practicing her magic, with Silver Flame watching. They confiscated Silver Flame and gave her to a foster family, Platinum Spell never saw her again. Platinum Spell hid his remaining daughter in the Everfree Forest, to practice in peace and to hide from the royal guards. Eventually, some Ponyville folk discovered him and sought to kill him and Ember. Ember died in a fire caused by torches, Platinum Spell barely escaped. He resurrected Ember as a Magical Construct, illegally, with black and combined her soul with a dragon's and a cobra's, to make sure she would never be hurt by fire again. Platinum Spell and the newly resurrected Ember Spell fled to the Necromancer Woods, where they lived until Platinum Spell died of old age, leaving Ember alone.

Ana Vesca, a pony who's 1/8 griffon, and Strawberry Savor are given a child, Strawberry Jr. Their child is weak and carries genetic defects, ones that breeding griffons and ponies would produce. He had a bad heart and a low immunity system. Eventually, his heart gave out at a shockingly young age. The rich strawberry farmers consult a Necromancer, and pay him to make Strawberry Jr. a Magical Construct. They gave him the family pet, a flamingo named Perry, and a fennec fox and asked him to make their son beautiful. Strawberry was resurrected, and given a magical boost to strength his heart. But the necromancer kept Strawberry to himself, and fled to the Necromancer Woods after getting attached to his "creation". Strawberry escaped, and bumped into Ember Spell, and the two became friends.

Meanwhile, Silver Flame grew up unhappy. She ran away from her foster parents and encountered Umbra, disguised as a unicorn. Silver Flame begged Umbra to give her the ability to use black magic, like her unicorn parents did. Umbra granted her wish, but not in the way she wanted. Instead of making Silver a unicorn, he mutated her into The Weeping Mare. The eldritch entity had another servant to command.

Then we touch the subject of Coal Heart again, who meets Fading Daylight. Coal Heart introduces ideas of black magic to Daylight, but since Coal was an earth pony, he couldn't practice it. Unhappy with their lives, and feeling that unicorns are more privileged than the other pony races, they seek out to become unicorns. Pregnant with Pale Heart, Fading Daylight, and Coal Heart, meet Umbra, again disguised as a unicorn. Coal Heart asks him to make them unicorns, but Umbra comes up with a better idea: To make their soon to be born son an alicorn. They agree heartedly, but Umbra slips away to watch Pale Heart grow up from the shadows after he was born. The two new parents seek out Umbra's help, having realized they have no idea how to raise an alicorn, but never find him. So they raised Pale in the Everfree Forest, and sent Pale Heart to school which his wings concealed, until he was pulled out permanently after his secret was close to being discovered. Pale Heart was given a piece of the entity's magic, which grew progressively more uncontrollable as he grew up. Eventually, Pale Heart's parents left when he grew up out of fear of his magic.

As an adult, Pale Heart is able to take care of himself, and spends most of his time training his magic, which not even he understands. The magic tries to infect him and make him the entity's servant, but Pale Heart's mind was too resilient. (I would explain further, but his Cutie Mark story is kind of long...) He gets lonely and curious of what the lives of most ponies' are like. So he begin to wanders outside the Everfree Forest and into Ponyville, concealing his wings like he did when he was young. He meets Miracle Locket, Red Velvet, Lantern Lights and River Shine (his future mate). Eventually, everyone in the gang figures out Pale Heart's an alicorn and discovers his obsession with training magic that cannot be tamed. They confront Pale Heart about this and proposes this; Stop training his magic and they will remain his friends, and try to help him through it. Continue training his magic, and Pale Heart is a threat to Equestria, a threat they will be forced to report to Celestia and Luna. Pale Heart realizes his problem and sees how dangerous his magic is, and flees with them to the Necromancer Woods, to seek help from black magic users.

When the gang arrives, they see a lack of necromancers in the area and find the strange looking creatures that are Magical Constructs, watching in fear as the eldritch entity begins to corrupt the landscape. They manage to save two Constructs, Strawberry and Ember Spell and ask for help. Unfortunately, the two know nothing of black magic, but everyone is forced to team up and fight against hoards of Umbra's servants.

Annnnnd stopping here because I don't want to say any spoilers.

Not even going to talk about Tanetane and Capital Vice, because that's a whole 'nother group of paragraphs. Plus, they only exist in an alternate universe from this story, and not in the 'canon' universe.


Basically, tl;dr.

And how everything's connected it almost makes me think a little bit warrior cats lol. Random question though, penumbra and umbra, where did you get their names? The only reason I know what ether of those things meen is because I rp "World of Darkness"
