How much does the race you play affect how you roleplay?

definitely depends on the situation of the roleplay, but most of the time [I hopefully can say fairly] not really much at all. i see personality and traits with a defined separation from what the character might look like, of course, so when i make a character the physical description and the personality traits are usually built separately for me, and then at the end i stick them together and keep it that way.
of course, depending on the character's background and history, they might have more cultural tendencies [i.e. a 3rd gen vs. a 1st gen. character], in which case I try to stick to what I know [i.e. 2nd / 1st gen. asian-wherever the rp is or just like 8291238th gen. whoever-the-charcater-may-be]. that or i do research, but most of the time I'm not willing to read through a lot for an rp that'll probably die in a week or two [sorry] so i just don't touch that area.

I think I might make a warrior cat rp.. only the cats would have powers based on coat color. It'd be a weird avatar/warrior mash! Haha.

Orange cats would be fire, white is air, gray is water, brown is earth, black is shadow, calicos would be a minimal sight, they'd have small power in every area but they'd get beat easily when it comes to solid coats. Cats with points would be a little air and a little earth. It would all come down to the major color of a coat.

I haven't read the Warrior Cats books in years but that sounds quite interesting. I think you'd garner interest from fans of the books with a mashup like that.

I'm always interested in warrior cat role plays but I've never read the books...
