Ahhh ok so I was very self conscious about my art one day and offered requests and I got a lot of pms and it really made me happy that you guys like me art?? ;w;

have you ever taken a break from the community? why?
I took a break for a week or so as I had lost a comp and was very sour about it and didn't want to poison the fan club, so I just took a break until it wore off

what is one thing you would recommend to make a more oldie/newbie friendly place?
Be nice to everyone
Don't hold what anyone has done in the past against them
If you hear rumors about someone, don't pay attention to them and actually meet the person for yourself
Try not to get sour about loosing a comp, I know it's difficult but take a little break if you need to before coming back.

Paprika; she has no need for pets nor ever has,although if she would need have an animal for something it'd be a easy to take care of cat.

Paprika; No,since her character takes place in the early 50s/late 40s her history does not intertwine with any of my plumerains [well....not yet]
Claire & Amore: Despite Paprika not having any contact w/ them they instead do.They of course in canon their characters are currently taking place in modern time [not to confuse anyone from Paprika ahah] although they do not grow up with each other they have quite a history together.although im not going to really give much out to public out of what i have in mind w/ them since nothing is set in stone [especially with claire,,,but her character i promise you is quite an interesting one >:3c] their relationship is now not stable much at all.

• If i could finish my entry in time for shewolf's halloween baby i'd love for him to be able to see many ghosts although be silent about his ability in public & maybe being able to see a certain 1950s lady still roaming her home till this day,,,c""": [although not being able to communicate w/ her and her probably not knowing shes dead in current time] i'd love for the character to take place in the "future" [slightly advanced tech,not too over powered or anything like aliens but it'd be nice to kind of AU a character in a timeline where you get to decide what happened in the past and what is happening in the present then.] although i would probably have him in a present setting due to roleplaying reasons [Paprika is kind of a personal-ish character i really like to use w/out rping,as i know it was a big choice since she would not have a mate or anything but i really love characters whom take part in the past]
  
• I'd love to do something carnival related,most likely fire breathing or sword swallowing....maybe even freakshow related? although im a bit un-easy on this idea since freakshows [back in the day when popular] usually showed off living beings in an un-humanly way so uh-heh yeah i really don't want to mess with that although it has sparked some minor interest in me if i wanted to do a freakshow it'd have to be more modern and light-hearted since [although they are really scarce in modern day] the performers are usually seen in a more respectable way and more focus on how they overcame their disabilities instead of showing them off for pleasure & money.
  again if i were to go off with this idea it would most likely be circus instead of freakshow w/ sword-swallowing,fire breathing,or acrobatics :0

I don't post here often but I was wondering if you guys could help answer a few questions for me.

1. What is a YCH? I see this term used throughout the fanclub and I always wondered what this means.

2. I am trying to find ways to participate a bit more in the community. I thought the best way was to learn how to draw on a drawing tablet and start taking commissions. (which I really want to do) So my question is for all of those who use tablets to do their on commissions What would be a good option for a tablet to draw art on?

3. Is there any advice you cold give regarding winning plumerian impress me contests?

YCH's means Your Character Here. They are basically sketches that, when bought, the artist will draw your character in that background/pose.

For tablets, I suggest to not get a Huion tablet, and instead invest in a Wacom. Bamboo's are the cheapest, but they also have different types that hold more options. The prices can go up in the thousands depending what you want though so just be mindful! There are also three sizes. I recommend a small if you have one screen and a medium if you have more than one computer monitor or have a large screen. I have a large tablet and even with two screens it's a little much haha.

And also for impress mes, most of it comes with practice and writing/art/coding skills. However there was a really nice forum somebody made with tips a while back so if I find it I'll link it here.

(DJ, Wolfie, or Infinity are fine) and I'm a non-owner currently trying out for #645. I just finished my piece for that Plumie, so I figured it'd give me a reason to introduce myself:

@FandomQueen : I've never won an impress me contest, so my advice is probably invalid (XD) but I'd think focusing more on the Plumie's personality and what made them that way is probably the best way to win. Describing personality traits, telling their backstory and how it still affects them, listing relationships to show how they intereact with other Plumies, using art to convey their emotions, etc.

Most of them I know through roleplays or other character relationships, or else through art and join.me's.

I'd say just send me a PM on CS or a note on DA. I'm better about talking through skype though. My PMs are always a mess.

Just be more considerate. I've seen so many users leave because they're uncomfortable or bullied or feel unwelcome, etc. I hate it. There's no need for any of that to happen. Just think before you post.

Gideon: Having someone to nerd with.
Wren: Having family/friends to care for.
Leonard: His bandanna? Idk, probably not.

Gambel: Quails anyone? He's recently been introduced to some cats, though I'm not sure if he'd adopt one of his own.
Gideon: A raccoon. Anything that's friendly and cuddly?
Wren: I think she has enough on her hands without a pet. Maybe a horse though?
Leonard: Some sort of reptile?

have you ever had a brush with death?
Gambel: No, but he's had some close calls out hiking sometimes.
Gideon: He has more emotional damage than physical.
Wren: Only in her patients.
Leonard: Nope.

what are you afraid of irrationally?
Gambel: Having a bug crawl in and live in his ear?
Gideon: Scorpions. (Less irrational: abandonment)
Wren: Falling from high places.
Leonard: Getting shots/bloodwork/anything involving needles.

where do you wish you could live?
Gambel: He already lives there C:
Gideon: Anywhere where he's loved.
Wren: Anywhere with her family.
Leonard: Somewhere different. That's why he moved away for college!

Probably the mods and the artists. One of the most important features of a good community is the staff being able to talk to the members of the community, I believe. ^^

I don't think there's anybody here I don't look up to in some way or another. Owners because they dedicate themselves to their plumerians, nonowners because they try their hardest in every single competition, artists because of their beautiful designs, and of course the people who help others win competitions. Everybody's awesome! ^^

Nothing, really. I've got no plumies for anybody to comment on, you see, and therefore no art to show off besides the odd tryout art piece. That's what most people usually comment on. ;ww;

When I'm focusing on a competition, I try to not post as often. Well, I don't post much anyway, but seeing other people's tryout art and how much they can afford to commission makes me think that my own art is, in a way, inadequate? uvu I've never really taken any considerably long breaks.

I think we should have a separate thread for roleplay searching. I know that when I first joined this community eight months ago, I thought that was all there was to the fanclub; advertising. pfft

Just popping in to say don't expect anything of me for the next 10 days. I'm practically going into the middle of nowhere and I don't even think there will be enough service to call my family. Though before I fully leave would like to take free traditional requests. You probably will not get them until my arrival back home but I need something to do on the 5 plane rides! Anyone who PM'S me now to when I get on the plane is in. I will not respond due to me wanting to save my data but if you pm me before I take this part out you are all good.
