I have decided to open up the Good Graces raffle! Because this is the first time that it has opened up, the fee has been waived. This means that you do not need to pay in order to enter. Entering the raffle is free this first time. Everyone (mod or player) is allowed to enter so long as you fill out the form properly. When you enter, I will give you your complementary 50 yemons as long as you haven't received them yet. (This means that Mournstead and my village will not receive 50 extra yemons). Additionally, there will be two winners for each prize so enter while you can! This raffle will start today and end 5:00 pm June 27th, PST.

When my computer gets more battery, I'm going to join in the poem making but for now, I'll just announce that the 6/20-6/27 Good Graces raffle has winners! In all honesty this is probably the first CAC competition I've actually closed and completed on time. XD Anyways, good job to the winners! And a little reminder that from now on, all Good Graces raffles will have a smol entry fee of 20 yemons.

I'm not super attached to any of my villagers so...readopt time? Do y'all the staff mind me adopting them out myself or do you guys want to do it? I'm not really sure what the policy is for this game

@Savannah: You can absolutely readopt your villagers on your own!

@everyone: With the closing of CAA (Armageddon), the CAV staff has decided that if you wish, you can bring over your characters into your village. If you decide to bring over your characters, you must provide a link to your last post. If they don't have traits, give your mod the pictures and they will give you traits that match their photograph. As we wish to avoid the picture drama, you will not be allowed to use faceclaims unless they are celebrity faceclaims, in which case you must state which celebrity the picture is of. You are not allowed to bring over animals although in the case that you find an animal on patrol or receive one through the Cages, you may use the same name/gender/faceclaim (provided the faceclaim is free for noncommercial use) for your animal.

EDIT: Unfortunately, you are not allowed to do this because Neon and noctem are deciding to keep CAA.

Hey guys! I don’t know how many of you have heard this, but the CAC staff has been considering transferring the CA-games to a new site specifically made for the series. However, I’m unsure if we should move CAV because it seems to be fine where it currently is. There is a new poll up on the main game and I’d like you to respond with whether or not you want to move. Keep in mind that if we move, Amethyst14, the original owner of the game, will take over ownership of the CS version. However, we will keep in touch and implement the same features so you don't have to feel as though you're missing out. The poll will be open for 14 days (until July 20) and there will be three options: yes, no, and other. You can only choose one option, but you can change your vote at any time until the poll closes.

AT LONG LAST! The promised feature has arrived!! Now introducing achievements, which give your village bonuses based on things that you accomplish whether through the course of normal gameplay or deliberate action.

Slight change of plans! I'll be keeping the game both on CS and on the site. But...the site version is open for anyone who would rather play there! I'm going to restate that there is no difference between the two games except for the fact that you will be allowed to introduce adult/mature themes and language so long as you follow site rules for it. I'm officially back from my hiatus that was semi-unexpectedly caused by camp (I didn't realize I'd have so little time even as a counselor) so feel free to post! If you've been left hanging for the month or so that the game has been less active, please PM your mod to give 'em a little nudge and we'll be back on track.

Once again, we've got some adoptions for you! The rules are as follows:

1. Only villages with 20 or fewer villagers (but have already been founded and made a first post) may adopt until November 24. Afterwards, the adopt is open to everyone.
2. Each person can take a maximum of 3 villagers or 1 group.
3. All villagers will age by 1 year when first added to their new village.
4. The sexual/gender identity of the villagers must be respected.
5. Any current faceclaims/animal faceclaims are F2U. However, they may be changed to suit the style of the new village.
6. The code word is unfortunate.
