hello!! i also use thoma as a dps, i plan on triple crowning him soon! i fell in love with him when he was released and was determined to dps him regardless of his,,, unfortunate kit

why did they give him such beautiful normal attack animations if not to be used (

exactly ! he's so pretty and his animations are so well made, why did they have to make his kit so bad! i feel like if his kit was at least a bit better he'd be used so much more often, since his gameplay is just really fun imo, he was just done so dirty TTwTT

best of luck on triple crowning him !! my thoma is c6 triple crowned [ though not the best artifacts ] and usually the most he does with proper bennett and element set up is around 40k :0c definitely not the most anyone has done, but god am i not proud of the lil guy for getting that much anyway !

i'm also kind of a completionist so i'm trying to collect the entire archive [ weapons, food, books, gadgets, etc. ]. it's been rather annoying (especially with the weapons), but progress is progress and i find it rather fun !

(Welcome!) oh gods same, I've been collecting and getting full progress on every dish since I started and the only things to allude me thus far are unagi meat and the desert fruit (I haven't done much exploring in sumeru desert so far, rip) so I've got about 3 or 4 dishes incomplete.
as well as max refining all my 3 & 4* star weapons - currently being driven mad by fillet blade refusing to drop so I can get my current one to 5, the fact I don't have festering desire or windblume ode aNd started ballads and brews late so the event weapon is only R3, and the fact that there's only one dark iron sword in the whole game and it'll never be maxed refined alongside the other 3*s :'). - I wish they'd either rerun events with the same weapon or put it in the shop somehow, I'd even buy generic 3*s from the shop at this point lol.
Neaaarly done w my book collection though, I just finished the enkanomiya book quest and got those so now it's only a couple more toki alley pages and the sumeru books and that's that!

I wanna wish on these banners so bad since Layla is new and Heizou is c1 as well, but I got guarantee and cannot waste it after waiting for scaramouche since 1.1. I feel like im touching the banner longingly saying ill be back for everyone, whenever that may be 😔 But! I'm glad to see other people give main dps Thoma some love! Triple crowned mine too and made him a physical dps. Is it viable? no, but it sure is mad fun which is all that really matters

Speaking of which, I've been working on a newish long term goal of putting everyone's talents to at least 8's (cons not included) and it has been..... pure pain akjsdnkasn i forgot how much I hate the forsaken rift domain OTL I'd love new mond characters since its been so long. Excluding Mika since not playable yet and Thoma doesn't technically count, the last has been Eula which is wild to think about, but man i dont want to be in there more than i have to lmaoo. At least I got 33/47 characters done now! Electro aether included and now working on dendro aether. Maybe build all elements aether will be another long term goal, but obviously wont be consider for a while lmaooo

Baizhu is another character I've been holding out for for so long 😔✌funny snake man please hurry up already. lantern rite is coming around again so its time for your yearly appearance and maybe become playable already ueueue,,,

Building characters is by far my favorite things to do in this game, more than exploring now that I think about it. I put everyone to at least level 80, lvl 90 weapon, full set of level 20 artifacts, and used to be level 7 talents, but then there was a lull in content and minmaxing artifact is not that rewarding to me, so I decided to push everyone's talents to 8. Thankfully Sumeru has given me lots of new characters to chase after, now it just depends on if i have the primos or not for all of them ahaa. After getting everyone to 8, idk what to do next. Maybe prefarm for missed 4 stars? I did that for Sara who i still dont have and of course scara refuses to run his banner with raiden, so ill miss out on once again but thats only her and layla at this point. Maybe ill get other event weapons to 90. right now its onlt the enka catalyst, the recent mond spear, the new fish bow, and i guess ill throw the kazuha story sword in there for funzies. idk, but having it all even makes the brain produce the happy good juices kek

I do hope we get another mond area soon too tho. I want to return home more than just the occasional event :(( i miss all my blorbos already :((

that's a really good challenge though and i'll absolutely need to start doing it as well. i think i can get most of my 4* weapons up to r3 at least, but dang, this is gonna be a journey. i can absolutely see how singular weapons like the dark iron sword can be frustrating thoo, seeing that r1 next to it when everything around it is all shiny and refined.

i would kill for that sort of weapon rerun though, because the fish claymore is something i will never not be upset over not having.

thoma seems to be getting more and more rerun banners so honestly i wouldn't be too upset over having to skip this one since, god yeah i totally understand, the hype and anticipation for scara has been HUGE ! even tho i do consider myself new to the game, scara is the one character i've been waiting for ever since i met him in the story and heard he was getting a release eventually, it's just wild to know it's so so close now !

a physical dmg thoma is so fun tho, ur valid for using that ! before i switched up his talents and gave him a dif weapon, i had him built as a physical attacker and whilst it def wasn't good, it was a nice experience i'd say. sometimes i still long for the physical thoma days, but alas they are far behind him.

but also dear god you scare me /lh the dedication for putting everyones talents up to 8 is just.. too much for me to even consider.
there's just so many domains that absolutely suck a for grinding, i already loath having to build my ventis and bennets talents [ thats why benny my boy is forever gonna be single crowned ], i couldn't imagine having to do that for so many others haha. best of luck though, you're an absolute unit for even going for that.

but god right, i forgot that baizou is like, living proof that genshin can take forever with releasing a character as playable, i entirely forgot. i was very excited to get mika in the game since i also really miss mondstadt [ favorite region no matter what ], so i just really hope we get a return to it. compared to the other 3, mondstadt doesn't have much of a like,, gimmick ? it feels very bland comparatively, which i understand why but it is a shame. a new section for mondstadt would be incredibly cool with mayhaps some new features added to it that would help it stand out more. i think they could seriously do more with the wind aspect of mondstadt, cuz whereas every region has smt unique to it that aligns with their element, mondstadt doesn't have anything and it just bums me out. i want more love for the windy region dammit !!
a new character or more lore would also be lovely, since i don't think we'll be getting a map update any time soon.[/size]

that's actually a pretty cool idea!! i love finding little goals for myself in genshin, especially since im kinda overleveled so until i finish leveling my characters i end up making other goals instead lol... rn im aiming to prepare 100 of each dish and 1000 of each ingredient so that i have them stored when i need em lol - i dont even know if the game is gonna let me but by the archons am i gonna try

you guys are So right... as soon as i got thoma i ended up placing him on my material-gathering team purely because hitting trees with his beautiful attacks is super fun... i did the same with yun jin tbh, lol

damn !! honestly thats a cool goal and i can imagine how satisfying it would look if you ever manage to achieve that goal ! technically the game should definitely allow u to do that, but it's for sure a matter of patience haha. i can barely muster up the patience to get enough ores. but like def keep it up and keep us posted, cuz i personally would love to see how well that goal goes !!
