Wow, Griff. I haven't given my hair a good shampoo in days, making it quite greasy. I just ordered a leather jacket. I tote CDs around. And I've nearly gotten involved with a mosh pit several times. What you just said was oddly descriptive of me.
Great news ; my local rock festival probably wont have Metallica (everything went downhill after album 4) or Red Hot Chili Peppers (only like Flea). And it probably will have Avenged Sevenfold. That's what my dad got out of bugging one of the local radio station's DJs. However, sadly Green Day might be the other headliner `cause he forgot to ask about that. Hopefully it's System of a Down or Tool instead, or maybe even Marilyn Manson.
On another note, this is the most metal leaf in the history of nature.

I don't shampoo my hair often either. Mostly because I've got it colored in fun ways, and shampooing in strips it faster.
And I've had the same beat up leather jacket for years. I have many a Rock/metal CD in my car, and I have moshpitted before. I think it's just a metalhead thing.
That stinks. I had the opportunity to go see Korn recently, but I never got the tickets because I had to work. I did see a great classic earlier in the summer, and I got to see I think Beware of Darkness and Asking Alexandria over a livestream with my friends. We put on the surround sound on, got it up on the big screen TV, sat back with a ton of snacks and Faygo and just watched the awesomeness live from my place. It was just as epic, and I still technically saw them live. Just not in person. XD

I haven't actually shampooed my hair properly in a few days but I did put shower gel in it, because I left my shampoo on another island... My mum would tell me off if I didn't wash my hair every day so I do xD The CD thing is so true though, I'm writing a thing in English comparing two texts about a subject, my subject I picked is Mother Love Bone and I'm using my CD (words and music ha) as a source haha
Saying that though, I'm going to have to do both a talk and a discursive essay on something else because I chose an essay this time. I'll probably end up doing something to do with how people work when listening to music and whether silence actually is better, because one of my English teachers said yesterday that though some people say they work better with music they're wrong and silence is better. I personally don't understand, I feel I work better with music on, it stops me from getting bored really quickly q: why have you forsaken me mr english teacher?? i had a conversation with him about vinyl at the end of a class once *flips table* i brought my no code polaroids in because of the red mosquito one and then he said he liked soundgarden as well
And then there's those people that say to listen to classical if anything
what if you don't like classical or silence

I agree. I can't work in silence, as I have ADD and music keeps me interested in whatever I'm doing at the time. But classical puts me to sleep.....unless it's got a serious rock influence like Apocalyptica or the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
I usually listen to Puddle of Mudd when working. Their first album is one of my favorite albums ever, so I don't have the distraction of switching. I'd listen to full albums of System of a Down and Disturbed too if I was alone in the house (my parents don't like SOAD and they're tired of Disturbed now).
Also, I got to see Korn on the Nocturnal Underground tour with Breaking Benjamin and Motionless in White this year at a nearby amphitheater while I was on vacation. Great concert, except for the stupid security incident that happened right in front of me. Next time, opting for the front row of the middle rear section or one of the closer isle seats. And also, bang-overs are the worst. (Chris Motionless coined the term for a sore neck caused by headbanging.)
side note; will probably have totally rockin` leather jacket tomorrow afternoon

Hey, I'm Tea.Elf. My favorite music groups are Against Me!, NOFX, Dropkick Murphys, Joan Jett, Anti-Flag, Knuckle Puck and The Struts. I saw the Struts in concert about a ear ago and I am intending to see Against Me! this coming up October! Super stoked about that since they are my favorite band.

I'm slowly getting into more punkish bands... I've heard of Against Me!, they're the band with the trans singer, right? I'm surprised i haven't listened to them by now, I've seen a lot of stuff about them haha
I bought a Declaration Of Conformity CD by Wellwater Conspiracy off ebay for £15 a couple of nights ago, I'm really excited for it to come home, I love that album and I'm having to deal with a pirated version for now. I like CDs, I need another rack for mine...

I definitely recommend Against Me!, even though I've only heard Black Me Out. Yes, they are one of the rare semi-popular rock/metal bands with an openly transgender lead singer. Which totally messes with my parents, since she totally still sounds like a guy on the recordings (male->female).
These days, my music taste varies a lot. My favorites are VAMPS (Japanese band, not UK band), Queens of the Stone Age, and Royal Blood. So mad that the QOTSA/Royal Blood tour doesn't stop in my state. But I listen to everything from Arch Enemy & Lamb of God to Twenty One Pilots & My Chemical Romance to Big Data & The Strokes & Grouplove to Slipknot & Marilyn Manson. Anything except classical, jazz, country, and modern Top 40 is fine (unless it's VAMPS's fantastic cover of Rihanna's Diamonds).
Since my last post, I saw my local rock festival in April (linked my review of performance), Adelitas Way & Cilver in November (gas line explosion few blocks away killed power halfway through), and a small Halloween concert with Sick Puppies (got a radio station T-shirt and 3 picks including one of Emma Anzai's (she's one of my idols) and also almost got kicked by Blake from Devour the Day while he was crowd-surfing). And I got that leather jacket and have barely used it because it's so HOT where I live.
Think I'm up to date now.
PS;; I seriously hope my mom doesn't wander upstairs right now. Watching live VAMPS footage and staring at their totally hot lead singer, Hyde. (single pringle-ness showing)
