The Catholic high school near mine did Les Mis this year, so I'm jealous. I didn't get a chance to see it, though. My school did the Wiz, which was completely awesome, I've fallen in love with that show too, but I'm really hoping we'll do Les Mis next year- I wanna do it before I graduate. My school hasn't done it in quite a while, I think, at least ten years, so I'm hoping we can, but I think the teachers might be leaning toward something else. Either way the show will be a lot of fun, but I'd love to be in a production of Les Mis, even as a chorus member, or even better, a barricade boy (even though I'm a girl- there just aren't usually many boys in the music theatre class besides the ones in pit band ^.^").

Being a barricade boy sounds so amazing *u* but it was fun being Gavroche, then Eponine (and then an extra in the movie production but I was only on screen for about thirty seconds for a couple scenes so i guess that doesn't really count but yeah fun anyway)
taking a bit of a hiatus from cs; i probably won't be back
(i'll still be around to check stuff out tho)
(all roleplay characters now belong to boxcar)

Sheesh, you guys are so lucky. I would kill a tomato to be in a Les Mis production, even though I don't have any acting or singing skills. I could just stand there, you know, like a prop.

I'd love to be Jean Valjean. *u*
I could pull it off. Really. I have a deep voice for a girl. Seriously.

Haha, I'm sure you'd make a lovely barricade! But in all seriousness, several of the parts are really simple melodies to sing, so even with little to no music experience you could sing in the chorus.

Personally I think the chorus gets the best parts. I know everyone usually goes on about the leads, but the leads don't get to sing Lovely Ladies, do they?

If I got the chance to perform in the play, I'd be torn between being a chorister and being Eponine (chance given, of course). My alto is fit for Eponine's role, but I really love the chorus songs... I don't know. It'd be a hard decision.
I'd probably just chicken out though, not audition, and stick to being a techie.

I would love to be in any production. My BFF and I dream to be the leads (her Jean Valjean and myself as Javert) but I would also love to be Eponine or a Barricade Boy.

Oh, what the heck, I could be Lovely Lady #4 and die happy.

I actually got to talk to Hugh Jackman for a little bit when I was an extra in the cast. Other than being able to be in "At the End of the Day" and "The Epilogue", that was the highlight of being in the movie

Also, where are you people getting your copies of The Brick? I can't find it on Amazon.
