i think im going to try and keep yewclan smaller than 20 cats, and that's the absolute maximum... it's going to be a small clan centered on each other.

I think it's a good idea, and if people don't wait the risk they can always set it up for them having their kits in New-Leaf and Green-Leaf.

Maybe even roll a dice of odds too or something. With different severities.

Each season begins at a gathering and ends at the last gathering. So each season is at least two real weeks.

Yeah, I was thinking of using a randomizer for the odds at birth.

Something like this:

Everyone lives
Everyone lives
One kit dies (The number of kits dying would depend on the litter size)
One kit dies
Half of the litter dies
half of the litter dies
whole litter dies
whole litter dies
mother dies
mother dies
mother and litter dies
mother and litter dies


So i would have 2 of each option so it's all even and fair.

But isn't it statistically more likely for cats to survive giving birth than everyone to die? I don't feel like there should be the same probability for everything. And is the probability gonna change based on seasons too?

Not that I dislike the idea of course!

I figure that's for leaf-fall and/or leaf-bare, because during the other two seasons it might be more fair to have a clean birth more likely.
