Those swirl strats are just so pretty :o I'm thinking maybe when I'm older and I have the money to I might buy the missing American parts of my guitar, because the guy said some parts are Mexican strat parts. I know the neck is, because it says "made in Mexico" or something on the back. I think the thing that holds the neck on is American, though, it says California on it. I definitely won't change the pickups, though. They kind of make my guitar stand out from other strats, and they sound really nice. :p
I just remembered that at the holiday park I was at last week there was a staff member that looked a bit like Johnny from a7x. His name wasn't Johnny, and he said he'd lived in Padstow for a while, but I kept thinking he was called Johnny xD

Hi. I am joining. I guess I will just post a little bit about me.
I love hard rock and heavy metal, always have and always will. Some of my favorite bands are Pink Floyd, The Who, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Queen, and, as I'm sure you can tell from my avatar, Rush. I play guitar a bit, but not very well. About all I can do at the moment is Iron Man, Working Man, and Bad Reputation. Not a very impressive repertoire.
Anyway, if anyone wants to talk about classic rock, I would love to. By the way, street soldier, that Stratocaster is awesome. I love the swirl.

Classic rock is the best! I absolutely adore black Sabbath and the song Bad Reputation by Joan Jett!

Wake up! Wake up. Grab a brush and put a little make up!
I managed to buy the rest of the System albums I needed c: I had a look in the shop for Sabaton and Scars On Broadway CDs but they had none :c I think they have A7X and Soundgarden ones, so I could buy a couple of those.
I managed to pretty much master B.Y.O.B., and I'm thinking of maybe recording sound of me playing it (with the original song in the background) when I'm home alone next. My mum tried to annoy me into playing it in front of her last night, but it didn't really work. It's weird though, I'm so shy I won't play in front of my parents but I've played steel pans for school concerts before and not been too bothered xD

Awesome!
Just a few days ago I got the newest Disturbed album, Immortalized. I'm officially obsessed with that band now, along with the song Never Wrong [you've gotta listen to that song guys ; it's one really awesome song]. Really want to get disc versions of the other five albums, and eventually the vinyl records too. Hopefully I can pick up a t-shirt at one of their concerts next year. I'll try stalking around and see if any other 'Disturbing' merch is available.
Just a couple weeks ago, I got a bass guitar.
Today I'll be taking my first official bass lesson! I've already started learning a couple songs on my own ; Hey You [The Exies], Get the Funk Out [Extreme], Trippin [Godsmack], and Down with the Sickness [Disturbed]. Doesn't help that I have small hands.
I really want to learn Better Place [Saint Asonia] when the tab comes out.

Ahh, I kind of want a bass ;-; I have pretty small hands as well, and bass necks are longer than guitar necks, so I'd probably struggle a bit at first if I started learning bass xD I'm probably going to miss two guitar lessons, because I'll be away for two Saturdays in a row. Not that it really matters; I probably learn more at home anyway! From what I remember I was learning a Dolly Parton song in the lessons and I went home, and instead of practising that I went and taught myself a ton of System songs. I could probably play about half of their earlier songs two or three each from Mez/Hyp, and two of the covers they did (the ones from the Lonely Day single, Shame, Snowblind and Metro). Might as well just list them xD
Suite-Pee, Know, Sugar, Suggestions, Spiders, War?, Darts, P.L.U.C.K., Prison Song, Needles (minus bridge), Deer Dance (minus bridge), Chop Suey!, Bounce, ATWA, Science, Toxicity, Psycho, Aerials, Innervision, Mr. Jack, I-E-A-I-A-I-O, Roulette, B.Y.O.B., Revenga, (most of) Cigaro, Question!, Old School Hollywood, (some of) Lost In Hollywood, Dreaming, Kill Rock n' Roll, Hypnotize, U-Fig, Holy Mountains, Shame, Snowblind
I learned quite a lot by ear q: I also know the rhythm parts for a few Avenged Sevenfold songs, and I can kind of play Iron Man. Well, by "kind of" I mean everything but the solos. And I learned all of that in eight months...
I didn't properly discover System until after New Year, and they were probably the band that introduced me to heavier music :)

there's a TDG concert on the 28th and it's so close to me ;-;
i'm gonna die.
I died inside a little when I found out System were playing at Wembley in April and I'd not be able to go because London's gotta be like 600 miles south of me and a car would take too long for me to tolerate and a plane would cost too much for my mum. :D *cries inside*
On a happier note, I found out I can use a youtube to mp3 converter to download songs onto my laptop, open them in iTunes, edit them a little and sync them onto my phone... I don't know if it works for non-Apple products, but if you have one, woo, free music! xD I downloaded the whole Storaged Melodies thing with all the System demos and URs, and all the proshot songs from when they played at the Astoria in 2005. That B.Y.O.B. has to be my favourite... I must get the Revenga from Hurricane festival 2005 because that one was amazing
