with as many batch requests as we have (20 still pending at the moment) it's bound to happen considering the magnitude of requests being sent in every few days. we don't really have enough nursery artists to meet the demands so it comes down to went the current ones have time to finish and post them. Strudel was off of work yesterday, and I had time to finish the ones I owed (minus one). But you are right, right now it's a viscet baby boom. lol

It can be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing in some ways P:
Like, with so many batches still owed, it'll hard to find time to make new designs for people to try out for. Because I personally spend my time that I would work on viscets working on batches instead of new designs. And you'll notice Grifforik has only been posting regular batches and not abandoned batches aside from a nonowner raffle, because there are so many backed up nursery requests.
So while there are more viscet babies in the world because of it, there are less main thread adopts too. Which is what gets people in the community and keeps the species from "vanishing" in the long run.
So it's kind of a trade off.

Pfffft, I can't get the pen pressure in Chickenpaint to work, so I'm having to switch back to the java version :/
I hope they're able to sort all this out honestly. For your sake and mine XD

i'm.. happy (not really the word i'm looking for) that there's barely any new viscets- i'm trying out for soo many adopts at the moment and i know there's gonna be a viscet i want to work my butt off for.... but at the same time i want to see new adopts! haha <3 and i'm excited for my first breedings, can't wait for my viscets to be parents! you guys are doing a great job at the nursery :p

could someone possibly explain the referral contest a bit more in-depth to me..? the tier 1, 2, 3 things (and what mutations for each) and how many referrals to meet each tier? i got a custom design in mind and i'd love to get a myo ticket for it!

the important information can be found on the 2nd and 3rd post
for each person who says you referred them, you get one stub
and here is the info for the tiers, also in the 3rd post:
[Tier 1]
✦ Any 1-3 Uncommon traits of your choice.
✦ Price: 10 stubs
[Tier 2]
✦ Any 1 Rare and 1-3 Uncommon traits of your choice.
✦ Price: 18 stubs
[Tier 3]
✦ Go crazy! As many compatible Rare and Uncommon traits as you want.
✦ Price: 25 stubs
so the number of stubs equals the referrals needed

In that case it would probably be great if more people would put their breedings UFA
But the nursey artist comp is running and I am sure, when there are more nursey artists the regular artists will have more time to make normal adopts again ^-^
