also, did anybody else catch genshin impact on r/place? can't link videos since some of the genshin r/place works were griefed with...nsfcs stuff but honestly i loved seeing ayaka on the canvas, and i was in the server where genshin players were forming alliances with other gacha games to build their arts. i didn't personally take part but it was honestly super entertaining to watch for the few days it was up!!

@~Phantom congrats on mr boba man!! ^-^ ayato uses 4pc echoes of an offering for his artifacts, atk%/hydro dmg%/cr or cdmg for his sands/cup/goblet. his best weapon is obviously haran geppaku futsu but i've seen people use primordial jade cutter for him instead. i don't have any of them so i'm currently using black sword (4* from BP) tho if ur like me and lazy u can just give him 4pc hod but rn my ayato's doing fairly low numbers compared to people who have him on 4pc echoes

as for specific stats/teambuild i do recommend running him with a battery (either an anemo character to proc a hydro swirl, or maybe xingqiu) bc his burst cost is like.. 80 LOL. as usual, aim for a 1:2 crit chance/crit dmg ratio (maybe 70-90% crit rate, 180+% crit dmg?) ayato does level up with crit dmg so it should be easier building his crit ratio compared to other characters. you'll want to focus on levelling p much all of his talents...his skill scales off his AA ratios and his burst gives buffs to characters' AAs within the aoe

Congrats on Ayato! I have him and I've been loving him soo much, hes so fun haha. Right now mine is built 4pc HoD with atk, hydro dmg, and crit dmg with the BP sword for a good ratio of 51/202. It works great!

As zerocalories said, the new echoes set is made for him, HOWEVER!! if you have high ping, its not worth it as it becomes literally broken and very inconsistent to where you're not able to proc the set's ability properly. The higher the ping, the more it struggles, so HoD is a good, consistent set with glad slightly behind that. If you have great ping, then echoes is worth farming for. My ping varies a lot with it mostly hanging around 49-55, but every now and then it'll jump to 100-200, so i decided not to bother. also i prefarmed a really good set of HoD and didn't want to suffer the artifact grind more than i have to

I'm generally pretty behind on "story" quests and will only play them when I like the character or am interested in them, but I also wanted the full fest experience so I've had to rush through the prerequisite stories. Took me ages to finish Ayato's because I just don't really vibe with the Kamisato clan or the NPCs in Inazuma City, then found I had to do Ei's too which I did enjoy because of how much emotion her vc puts into the role and how much substance her character quest has to it, but after doing two of those back to back I just wanted to enjoy the event and then I saw I still had one more to do and now I'm dragging my way through Kokomi's because I just don't really like Kokomi lol ><
