I actually can't really celebrate any holidays. My family is super Christian and yells at me for it. I could always light a candle and pray, but the constant berating makes me sad and not want to celebrate. I feel like they are getting between me and the Goddess, and that is not okay. I am old enough to legally move out... But without a job or driver's license, so that day is a good ways away.

I understand your stress dear, my family is like that as well..sometimes the insults are so bad, I literally just want to cuddle under a blanket and cry. It should get easier soon, just know we're all in this together lol
As a class requirement for next year I have to read Bulfinch's Mythology. I LOVE mythology, and as ironic and cliche as it is you realize how many similarities one religion is with another. It really makes you wonder if there's a since of ancient copyright? Of course I can't really tell my parents my theory otherwise it's scowls and dissapointment from them. But every religion started from something right?

Here's something that I did while living on a shoe string budget and in a very Christian place. Make a batch of muffins or cookies ( the Jiffy batter boxes can be as little as a $1 in some stores) and take two on a walk in the park. While walking, use that time to 'talk' and connect with your deity(or deities). Find a place where you can sit and eat one your muffin or cookie, and give silent thanks. Then crumble the other and feed the birds as an offering.
If you don't want to cook something, make some toast instead, or take some crackers with you.

I have been attempting a 'kind of welcoming of the season' for the the equinoxes and solstices but I think I will have to adjust my wording as the last few times my partner and bedmate has suffered violent nightmares and parasomnic events (sleep talking and walking) which without exaggeration make him sound schizophrenic or possessed I have ruled out medical reasons (via my partners doctor). I personally have mediumship ability and have been targeted before because of this so my fear is that my partner is being targeted to get to me or because I have made myself unavailable to the 'visiting' entity.
The phrasing I usually use is '..welcome the spirit of the season of .." Where I don't have a specific patron god or goddess (or pantheon) it is hard for me to be specific unless it is some specific favour I am asking from a specific deity which is very rare on my part.. Oddly reverse is probably more common.-. Still suggestions on new phrasing would be nice for now. I intend to clean the house with sage in a month and if things continue I will just move up my time line I can build a stringer barrier in my home as well. The down side of this is when I 'turn off my phone' I start getting pestered in person/public and I already work in a actively haunted building.
Any suggestions here or pm would be spectacular!

@Grengirl: I would suggest perhaps welcoming the specific ideas that you associate with the season (example: I associate Winter with Hope and Rebirth so I might welcome them into my ritual spaces) or welcome the "benevolent spirits". Smudging (cleansing with sage smoke) is good, and a sprinkling of salt water or water that has been blessed in some way can help keep the barriers strong.
@Fassinga: You have your ideas switched. Pagan is an umbrella term for people whom follow a wide variety of faiths, commonly linked to magic, nature worship, witchcraft, and ancient religions. Wicca is a specific religion based on some of the pre-christian religious practices in the UK. Wicca is considered a pagan religion, but being pagan doesn't mean you practice Wicca.
There are a great many pagan faiths and most are very personalized faiths unless you join one of the more structured and organized branches. Druidic, Helenistic, Gardnerian, and some others have a more structured and unified theology. While others like Reclaiming, and those who simply label themselves Ecstatic or Eclectic, have very little centralized structure or theology between practitioners or groups.
Hail and welcome to any newcomers to the thread.
