I have a dress form so I can chuck some of my cosplays on that and take pictures of it, because hey it's not me.

Yes I did make my elsa cosplay.
I made my own patterns.
the bodice is actually three layers of fabric, a pale blue cotton with white poka dots, silk which has the darker blue and the white, topped off with a layer of shimmery organza I think, ( don't quite remeber - the same stuff as that top layer of the bodice, went in to make the cape as well) so it looks all icy and shimmery that is all sewed together and does up at one of the sides,
the skirt is just satin. that's all it is.
the undertop is mesh with little spots on it. - the pattern I made by destroying an old top that was falling apart anyway. - this part was the most annoying to sew because the pins kept falling out.

Making that was a crash course in learning how to sew.
My next big ones would be Rapunzel and Gala fluttershy - I intend to wear both next year. though in the mean time I have an eevee cosplay to organise for a cosplay meet up in a couple months

@Barry Allen, I am in love with that Kaylee cosplay. You did an absolutely AMAZING job. I can't even comprehend how much work must have gone into that masterpiece!

The bodice of the kaylee was my first home made pattern, I didn't have a dress form so my mum had to pin the pattern onto my clothes.
All the ruffles on the skirt and the peplub are pulled by hand. the longest part was pining the ruffles and sewing them down. Watched a lot of Disney doing that part. the bodice didn't take long, all up it took maybe a day to do. the skirt took longer

now that I have a dress form, making my own patterns is soooooooo much easier.
I'm in the process of drafting patterns for my gala fluttershy cosplay.
