The very end of the flesh portion of the wing, where the feathers spread out? Something like there. It wouldn't be as useful as human arms, as the way wings can move would be somewhat limited, but yeah.
I just want a tail hand. Prehensile tail, with a three fingered hand at the end, all opposable digits. That might be even more useful than normal arms.
I do see that working for a scaly wing, or a bat like wing, but feathered wings? I'm just imagining random hand sticking out, derp xD the tail idea actually seems quite interesting though... although for my character wouldn't work, it would be an interesting idea to play with for a world that is possibly all/a majority avian humans that perhaps evolved from bird like creatures that way since with no hands they needed something. A bird does have use for tails though, but if you give it a feathered tail, that brings into question how do they sit normally and if they're quite long, how does one walk normally xD but then again do legs and feet work the same way?
which for roleplaying they do but yeah
found that anatomy reference thing though:
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/382524562072073019/should bring up what its supposed to, might not though
and as for what scene said about the movement being enough to keep the legs up, I wonder if that would be or not? At what speed would you have to be going?
but then again as the anatomy thing said at one point, muscle structure might be different, they mentioned extra chest muscles to help bring the wing forward, so maybe other muscles to help keep a vertical position in flight??
everything goes in writing I suppose but its still fun to wonder xD
