Just because someone doesn't know every single thing about a band doesn't mean they aren't worthy to see that band in concert. I've been listening to Panic! since like 2008 and I'm sure I don't know every song they've ever released. There are many levels of being a fan. And I've been to and brought people to PLEANTY of shows for bands we've only heard one song from then gone home and bought all their music because we liked them so much. How do you think people become fans? By hearing the band. So why not hear them live?

Just because someone doesn't know every single thing about a band doesn't mean they aren't worthy to see that band in concert. I've been listening to Panic! since like 2008 and I'm sure I don't know every song they've ever released. There are many levels of being a fan. And I've been to and brought people to PLEANTY of shows for bands we've only heard one song from then gone home and bought all their music because we liked them so much. How do you think people become fans? By hearing the band. So why not hear them live?

I know but it's a little frustrating when you have people who say they want to go to these concerts to either tease you or copy you. I know a girl who always copies one of my other friends every single move, literally. Every time my friend is sick, then as if by magic this girl is also sick and since me and my friend have the same taste in music and we were listening to a song by Mayday Parade, I believe and this girl tells us to turn it off because it's 'bad'. Within a week, she'd bought it on her phone.
I recently put a post up on facebook saying that I was going to see Panic! with my friend and this girl suddenly out of the blue said she was going. We didn't even know she knew who Panic! was. A day later this girl came and yelled at me and my friend for not inviting her to see them live and we said 'oh we didn't know you liked Panic!?' and she said 'I have liked them for ages' and my friend goes 'hold up, you didn't even know who they were a few weeks ago so it's only because I talk about them you know of them' which we knew that was the exact situation. This girl has to copy everything. Me and my friend have a favourite song that we always sneakily reference all the time and once this girl figured out what it was, she'd bought it on her phone. She's not into music such as TOP, P!ATD, MCR and FOB. She won't even let us play our music because she doesn't feel like it but all of a sudden it's her favourite song. This girl also literally changed all of her classes so she could be with my friend and she's had about enough. So yes, I do believe there is such thing as a fake fan although a fake fan is not a person just trying to get into their music and explore them more, it is a person like the one I mentioned in my little story.

oh boy. That sounds like fun. *really loud sigh* But yeah, I totally agree with you, Wentz. Can we please stop talking about the subject of 'fake fans'? I have had many conversations about this topic and they all just end up in arguments. We're all friends here, right? 'Fake fans" is just a stupid term. This FC is better than arguing about what makes a person a 'fake fan'.

I really love their newest album because of the MVs and all the hype surrounding it and my friends and I conversing about it all the time so I fell in love with it as well

Hey guys! Sorry I've been quiet, I've just haven't had a whole lot to talk about, but now I have a sort of rant thing. So a while back (I don't know if any of you will remember me saying this) I said that I was going to a Panic! concert with a bunch of friends. The girl who invited me set the thing up and it was basically planned out. Her mom was going to chaperone even though we can all take care of ourselves (her family is somewhat conservative). Then her mom dropped out for some reason and the plans were kinda screwed. Instead of asking everybody if they were avaliable or if a parent could do pickup and drop-off or something her and another person she invited planned it out for just them two, kicking me and one of my best friends out of the entire picture. They had it all planned but then it never happened and then they complained to me and my friend about nit going! At least they weren't kicked out! It just upset me because I was so excited and then POOF! Bye bye shirtless Brendon ;-; I just feel like the whole situation was just so dumb (and then of course she went on to plan a party but it never happened but she excluded my friend so I declined anyway *sigh*)
