I got slide on the 22nd January 2012, so she's almost 2 years old. She isn't neutered either. The lump isn't growing at the moment from what I can tell, but it did appear pretty quickly to the point where I only just noticed it the day of posting first here... I do believe it got that way over a week, maybe week and 1/2. But I cannot say that for certain.
For now I have a feeling I will be taking her to the vet, deciding to hold off on surgery for now (as long as it isn't cancerous) and hopefully letting her continue to live her life as she does and keep an eye on her to make sure she's eating and drinking normally (which at the moment she is).
Ill see if I can get a picture of her for you guys, it just gets difficult downloading from phone onto photobucket then posting XD.
I'll tell her you and Pepper said hi!
Is it hard or squishy? My older bubs tend to get abscesses.. in all sorts of odd places. o.O I've only dealt with tumors a few times, usually they were just abscesses, though. But yeah.. as long as it's not harming her mobility/eating/drinking, she can live with it until it's her due time.
Before you take her to a vet, take a towel and dampen it in the hottest water you can without burning her (so.. warm water lul) and press it against the lump for like five minutes. If it softens, it's an abscess & is an easy fix.. I've learned how to stomach the grossness on my own and always have pain meds for the rats on hand so I just do it myself >.< not everyone can stomach it, but it'd definitely personally put my mind to ease knowing it's simple, so maybe it will for you, too. It's made of warms, so she should stay still for a hot compress. <3
