So, I was checking out the archives list of customs: Archive Post
I'm not positive (please let me know), but I assume that staff members get to create their own one custom Walker? So those numbers at least make sense. #1-4, #11, #22 and #24 can account for that. Is all good.

I have an idea though, and please don't bite my head off for it (Its just an idea- and you guys are awesome! ^.^) but perhaps staff members should not be counted in the 3 custom spots? I'm not saying discount you guys altogether, but maybe have a separate staff slot? So 3 for general people, as normal, and then an additional slot for staff? So instead of 3 slots per artist, there is actually 4 per artist.

The reason I've come up with this idea, is the following- using the archive list, 14/28 customs have gone to staff members. Including the current 6 slots being created, 17/34 customs in total i.e. half.
In the bank, right now, 47/66 people can afford a base custom. Out of 66 total people.
If we go at the current rate of 3/6 slots going to staff each opening (and its not likely, but just as an example), that's going to take approximately 15 rounds of customs (from both custom artists) for each of those 47 people to get a custom (if they want one). And that's not counting those people who will want a custom in that time and send pets for the bank, or the people that have really good luck and get in on every second opening (according to the new rule).

I'm not saying don't get customs, and I'm not trying to prioritize general users over staff or vice versa. Just going off facts in front of me.

I feel its important to mention something I've observed too. I think a lot of people's frustration in general comes from a small group of people having many (more than one) walkers, and a large group of people having none. (Now being lucky enough to have won a beautiful walker, I am included in the smaller group). I have no idea how to fix this, or if there is a even a good way of doing so without making a lot of people feel unhappy (its a lose/lose kind of situation). But its perhaps something for all of us to keep in mind.

I mean personally when I complain about not getting a slot I don't mean it literally like "it's the end of the world I didn't get my chance" I'm just kinda bummed but I know I can wait.

True, but I have seen others who have been quite upset and a little frustrated by it. Personally, I was talking about in general, and I know there are more than a few who, like yourself, understand. ^.^

I think, overall, most people understand why it happens. But it still is a little bit upsetting- it just happens.

Just to put it out there, customs when joining the staff do not take up a custom slot to begin with c:.
Most if not all of the staff customs are designed by the artist themselves (unless you're a mod then usually minette designs them.)

I really like delusional illusion's original idea of having some way of getting a custom slot reserved (or something similar). I keep missing out because of time zones and I'm desperate for a certain custom to be made. As long as I have enough warning though, it isn't too difficult to get a custom. It's just last time, I fell asleep early and missed my shot. I usually can't sleep until gone midnight in my time so yeah.
