Oh, and on the topic of forms,I agree, though I admit I'm one of those people that love to make pretty forms. When I feel creative, I'll play around with forms. I will at I'm not one of the ones that fills it with images and glitter and doesn't have any writing really at all. I always feel self-conscious. So I always write a lot more than I usually need to, just because I feel I need to make up for my writing. Anywho, what I'm saying is that people like playing around with forms and creating them, but I agree that people sometimes go too far.
As for muse, personally I feel like I get my muse late at night. I have no idea why, but that's when I feel like I'm able to write good posts and that's when I make most of my forms. That's just me though. Also, I've noticed that stress will take away muse. You could try to relax, and maybe listen to music. I don't know, those usually work for me.

Actually, my advice would just be to read. It's incredibly hard to expand your vocabulary by means of flipping through a dictionary. But if you just read constantly, you'll come across words that you're bound to have to look up.
And, you know, just because you have a large vocabulary doesn't necessarily mean your writing is better. I do believe a larger vocabulary gives you a better chance to slip into fluff and purple prose.

>> I never have muse. I just have a few fallsbacks that I think about. what is the character thinking? how would they react to this? how are they acting in the current environment? are they stressed because of the amount of people? what do they think of the person they're interacting with? why is that the case? things like that.

Favorite type of RP:
I love realistic roleplays, by realistic I mean ones that progress and work like it would in real life. For example, days pass, people actually sleep, eat, and go to the bathroom, wolves don't talk, smile, or cry, etc. Just something very realistic. I roleplay to be able to write a story with the other people, not make a children's movie. I was a member in a very good roleplay like this on another site but sadly it shut down, I haven't found one since. I enjoy survival, romance, high school, and animal roleplays.
Roleplay sample:
Foxtrot55 wrote:Jax leaned back against the wall and read over his papers as he waited for the guy to be done with his phone call. His eyes scanned over the messy, scribbled on diagrams and drawings. Each one made by him... He pulled a pen from his bag and wrote some quick notes down, making it even more messy and hard to read. But it sort of made sense, each paper had a section of movements, and each movement had a disorganized section of notes and scribbles where he had edited the movement or commented on it. He drew a large circle around the part he had messed up and wrote "Practice more" inside the circle. Finally with a sigh he shoved the papers into his bag and crossed his arms on his chest, listening to the guys conversation, not rudely, just curiously. He heard the guy say something about "Fixing her leg" and "Do I have too?" but the rest of the conversation as quiet and distant. He tilted his head when he heard the guy agree to something and hang up.
"Go ahead, I've got time! And besides, I kind of owe it too you." Jax exclaimed with a small smile when the guy asked him if her would watch him dance. Not only did he owe it to him, but he figured it might give him some ideas and ways to help his routine. After all the first dance routine run through was in a few days, and he only had those few days to perfect his dance. He needed to perfect his dance... because he got in only because one of the teachers got him in, one mistake. He'd be gone. And this was the last chance he had. He couldn't mess up.
He grabbed a towel from his bag as he waited to watch the guys dance, wrapping it around his shoulders to make sure he didn't catch a chill. These practice rooms were usually cold, due to the fact that the school kept them well air conditioned, and a hot body doesn't mix well with the cold... "Names Jax by the way." he said to the guy realizing he hadn't introduced himself yet.
This is an older example because I haven't found any literate roleplays I like since this one.
Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have:
Not currently, I do have an idea for one though which I am working on developing.

I find it very hard to write posts, as I rarely have the motivation to do so. I am probably younger than all of you (not stating age) so it's hard to write quality when your word choice isn't the size of people who five + years older than yourself. I try my hardest and often use Thesauruses. I read books that have words I have never heard of, and after a bit, you pick up on them and the way they are used, and it does help improve your writing eventually. I don't really have a lot of muse anymore, but I try to conjure up the best post I can at the time, but I alway get distracted by something. I find it easier to write fantasy posts as my imagination likes to run wild, that's why they tend to me more detailed and genuinely more literate, but I prefer role-playing in realistic role-play more. o_e so i fail basically. why does my muse give up on my now? Ahhh! and the times I have muse, I can never get on the computer or when I have just gone to bed. so yes, my muse is very convenient.

I guess that is true - I do read a lot, but the same books over and over. My parents don't really fancy buying new books so that I can read more. (Yeah.) So, I'm quite frustrated - being able to role play is great for me, but I feel like I'm stuck. I WANT MORE. The writing world is big, and there are many words out there that few people know, but at the moment I'm disappointed in myself. Even when I do have muse, I basically feel the same than when I don't have muse.
EDIT: and when I have to reply to a role play, I basically just have the muse - or time - to write for one character. That is why I don't always reply soon enough to a role play. Sigh.

Books aren't the only reading materials. There are some really good stories out there on the internet that aren't published and are free to the world. There's also unpublished poetry and classics that don't have a copyright anymore so can be downloaded free from the internet. It's 2013, we survived the end of the world; just use your resources.
Edit;; I'm fairly positive I'm the oldest in the club.
I'll be 22 on the 31st -cough-

There was no 'end of the world' XD But yeah, I get your point - I suppose I'll just have to spend more time on the internet. Muhahaha.
No.. I have homework. O.o But now that it's almost school again, I will get less time to role play. And THEN, my friend.. My posts would be ridiculous, I'm sure.
Edit: xD But there are people on chickensmoothie that are, like.. in their twenties already. So you don't need to feel bad. d:
