Are you part of the LGBT community?: Yes.
Why would you like to participate/support this cause?: We both know firsthand the effects of being homosexual in less-then-accepting environment, and it helps to raise awareness. Seeing our straight friends do it ever year really does have a comforting effect. Even if we are homosexual and silent every day, it still helps to get the message out that we're(and other homosexuals) are not alone.
