by “path” I meant a square design you plop on the ground. Sorry for the confusion, I’ve played new leaf for 9 years so I’m just use to calling them paths since that’s just what everyone called them. After the amiibo update villagers don’t move on top of the design squares unless they have no where else to move.

So, I was watching an episode of my favorite show, a show about a company that makes custom aquariums. The client in this episode wants his tank to help him propose to his girlfriend. What they do is put the ring in a fake clam shell with a bubbler, so when the air goes through, it opens the clam shell and reveals the engagement ring. What if there was a DIY recipe that uses the Ring item and giant clam shells that you collect from the beach to make something like that. Does that sound like a bad idea?

^ have you tried putting temporary paths down where you don’t want them moving? They don’t move on top of paths unless they have no where else to go. You could also make a new villager if you know someone new is going to be moving in that day. Logging in on a already made villager makes the spot they move permanent even if you don’t save. if you make a new villager the spot is only permanent if you make it far enough to save the game. So in theory you could reset until they plop their house in a spot you like. I usually just plop temp paths down since I’m far too lazy to go through the make a new villager route.

I didn’t know that about the kk songs though, that’s really neat.

paths sadly are not a thing in new leaf so this wouldn't work,, i'm probs gonna put a public work project there the next time i can,, but i have to wait for the villager to move out first

While you can't actually terraform to place paths, you can place custom designs on the ground which is what fay meant. Villagers will not move onto custom design tiles on the ground

So, if you haven't gotten this recipe yet, let me tell you about a new cooking recipe in the game that's limited time only. A couple of days ago, I shot down a balloon, and when I opened the present that it was carrying, I got a cooking recipe for Spooky Cookies. They look like sugar cookies made to look like typical Halloween cookies, shapes including a pumpkin, a ghost, and a bat. The recipe requires 3 things of flour, and one of each color of pumpkin.

I'm struggling to find any mushroom recipes from balloons this month, idk why. I did get Marlo on my island the other day though and he was a dreamie of mine!

The trick is to put tall items (like jail bars) along either the left or right shore of your island and wait at the southern part of that- it will funnel the balloons all to you :^)

Oh I'm finding balloons just fine, I'm patrolling the sea at the times balloons spawn, they just don't wanna give me mushroom recipes

Having a real hard time trying to find my last sea creatures for my complete critterpedia. I restarted an island this year just for a fresh start and to relive that experience again. The ones I'm struggling to catch is the sea pig and the snow crab. Anyone else ever had a hard time trying to catch a certain bug/fish/sea creature? I swear, the game makes it more tedious for you to catch your last few.
