the asteri can be difficult to get because they are so popular. just keep trying your luck with the raffles every week or so and eventually you can win one! I was so surprised when I won my first one, I totally didn't expect to win at all. the wait to get one is totally worth it for the satisfaction of finally getting one c:

Did you send a message along with the trade saying that it was for stardust? minette might not accept it, if they don't know what it's for.
Otherwise, just as with the asteri, patience is key. minette might be busy right now, and getting around to CS can be hard sometimes. I find it's best to have time to update the bank immediately after accepting a trade for currency, because otherwise you might forget. minette might not have that time right now.

@Nightsong : It depends on which traits you would like to use. A normal Asteria Walker will cost 600 stardust. Additional traits, depending on rarity, will cost more. An uncommon mutation adds 100 stardust, and a rare mutation adds 250 stardust.
