Specter knocked on the door to Greyson's house. He knew that Greyson was at work so that right now would be the best time to talk to her parents.Nea opened the door.He smiled a bit nervously."Oh, um hey Nea, can I um..a-ask you and Xavier something?"
"Oh hey Specter."She smiled at him."Of course,come in."He walked in and waved at Xavier. He waved back and moved over on the couch so they could sit. Specter stood in front of them."Alright..this is a sorta weird thing for me to ask but um..."his ears were back and his face grew dark red."Do you two um...trust me with Greyson....?" Xavi smiled sweetly at him."Oh course we do Specter, we wouldn't have let you two get this far if we felt like something was a miss."Nea nodded."Yep.We know you treat her right and that's all we want for her.And someone who can handle her weirdness.Your welcome."
Specter smiled."Yeah she's perfect honestly..a-and because I think of her this way I was sorta um..wondering if you two would mind if I..proposed to her." he smiled akwardly but kept eye contact so they would know he was serious. Xavi covered his mouth and looked at Nea with wide eyes.
Her eyes widened a bit and she grinned."I was wondering when you were planning this."Specter smiled shyly."So, I assume you guys don't mind me asking?" Xavi nodded and wagged his tail.She nodded."Go for it."
His tail wagged slightly and smiled."Th-Thank you so much!" he hugged them before leaving to go see Greyson.

Specter walked into the lab and asked for her wing in the lab. He walked in and saw Membrane,Dib,and Greyson all working in some way or another. He took a deep breath and cleared his throat to get their attention.Greyson's ears perked and her tail wagged."Specky!"
He blushed and walked in."Hey Gracie, um I wanted to come see if you could be free for a little while?" he tilted his head.She looked over at Membrane."Hey,you guys good without me for a bit?"
Membrane shot up a quick thumbs up and Dib made a distracted "uh huh" noise. Specter smiled and took her paw.Greyson blushed at him and squeezed his paw."Lead the way Romeo."She snickered.He smiled and walked out of the lab."So, anywhere in particular you'd like to go?"
Greyson blushed lightly in embarrassment."I was hoping you had somewhere in mind."He smiled."I do, but I'd hate to go there and you not be interested so I thought I'd see if you had a certain craving."he laughed somewhat nervously."Does the little Chinese place downtown sound alright?"
"Sure does."

Specter watched Greyson slightly as he ate."So..um..we've been together a while, right?"She sipped at her drink and looked at him."Few years now yeah,why?"He sipped his drink and coughed."And we care about each other a-a lot, right?" he smiled slightly.Her gaze narrowed a bit but she answered playfully and calm."Of course silly."
He took a deep breath and smiled."Ok good.."he hesitantly got up from his seat and grabbed her paw."Greyson, we've been together for a long time, and I honestly can't see my life being the same without you, and you know I'm not the best at words,so I'll just get to the point. Greyson.."he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring."Will you marry me?"
Greyson's eyes widened into huge saucers as she started at him.Her heart thudded so loud,she was almost sure he could hear it as well.Despite how tomboyish she was and how much she didn't act like it,she'd always dreamed of being proposed to and now that it was happening it didn't feel like it was reality.She prayed she wasn't just having a really great dream as she covered her mouth with her free paw.
Specter got slightly worried at the lack of reply, but continued to smile."You alright Gracie?"Suddenly she all but tackled him into a hug as she pressed quick little kisses to his cheeks and hugged him tight."Of course!Yes Spec,I'll marry you!"She giggled happily and she clung to him."If you can handle my weird self that is."
Specter snickered."Wouldn't have made it this far if you hadn't been a bit odd."he kissed her softly and slipped the ring on her finger.She grinned back as she returned the kiss.
"Touche Spec,touche."
