I have a question for you. :v
Would you prefer casual, easy-enough-to-solve puzzles, or difficult (or at least difficult enough that you'd have to think in order to figure out a clue) puzzles in the rp? I'm jotting down some ideas for a few of the numbered doors' puzzles, and I realized that the rp would probably sink if the rpers didn't like the difficulty level of the puzzles I create.

Personally, I think the diversity of styles is a good idea, and although the issue may be resolved by now, I thought I could put in my own two cents. . . Maybe you could create a variety of puzzles with different difficulty levels? Not gradually gaining more difficulty, but rapidly, unpredictably fluctuating in difficulty levels. As in, so simple it's suspicious to [almost] too difficult to solve at all. I hope I'm making sense. . . If I'm not, feel free to ask me to clarify further.
I hope it won't be fast-paced. I typically write long posts, and I have been painstakingly busy of late. . .

Yes, I'm actually planning on doing that, though the first puzzle (where each character is locked in a room by him- or herself) will definitely be easy, so the rpers can ease into the puzzle-solving process. :3

I'm also sorta hoping it won't be too fast-paced -- I have the tendency to get exhausted by rps that go way too fast, lol. x:

Sounds good, sounds good. n.n I'm hoping for a few tricky ones, myself; I love puzzles and riddles, especially ones that challenge me. :3

Bah... another RP idea. Silly me! This one I'm more serious about though...

plot;
Let’s be cliche for a moment, shall we? You have powers, magical powers of course. Shapeshifting, elementalism, abilities like that. Like any sane person you’ve kept them quiet. Why? Well obviously there has to be someone after you, doesn't there? But now you’ve gotten a letter, apparently from a boarding school claiming to know of these powers. Tempting isn't it? People just like you, people who just might be able to help. After thinking it over, checking on it’s legitimacy, you decide to accept. You arrive at the school a week before the school year starts, getting yourself settled in and beginning to make some new friends. Everything seems to be working out okay, more than okay.
Wrong.

Even on the first official day, people start beginning to disappear without a trace. As these disappearances begin to become more and more frequent, your sense of panic rises. Surely the school should be able to handle this, or at least prevent anymore form happening. The disappearances get sloppy soon; blood, torn clothing, other remains show up at what is assumed to be the various scenes of these crimes. It’s the beginning of the end. Things progress a step further, your teachers, every last one of them, are gone. You and those remaining quickly break of into your own respective groups, all vying for survival. Numbers dwindle, there’s no way out, no way to communicate for help. Your trapped inside the school, waiting to be picked off one by one. It cant get any worse...
Right?

Wrong again. Magical powers are real, why not mythical beings? Cerberus, dragons, goblins, every last one of the most nightmarish fantastical creatures are now roaming the schools halls. They’ve got quirks too, oddly familiar quirks. The kind your former teachers had. Funny how this all works out, huh? You and your class mates have holed yourselves up in the last safe place in the school, with enough supplies to keep your spirits up... at least a little. But as is warrant to happen in these types of situations, that’s still only the half of it. Not only is it a game of cat and mouse with mythical beings and escape, but your own inner dramas are thrown in there too. Your classmates want to live, some at any cost. Someone gets locked out of the safe rooms? Well that’s just too bad isn't it. Are they sure it’s an escape route, or are they sending you to your death? You just cant be sure.

The actual RP would start just after a few of the students have been picked off, towards the beginning of the plot, but I thought I might as well write it all so we knew where we were going. I think I'd want it more on the advanced side of things too.

Anyone interested???

Shadows all around you as you surface from the dark
Emerging from the gentle grip of night's unfolding arms
Darkness, darkness everywhere, do you feel all alone?
The subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone

-----------------
you are the moon
-----------------
You don't see what you possess, a beauty calm and clear
It floods the sky and blurs the darkness like a chandelier
All the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and seas
The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe

[size=150]Taylia

Taylia shivered with cold. She wasn't used to this weather. Up in heaven, it had always been blissfully warm. Where was she now, anyways? On earth? It looked like it, but surely that was impossible? She remembered the clouds spilting open. She had fallen through. So, she reasoned, she must be down on earth now. She could barely remember this world - solid, full of dangers an surprises. If she had landed here again, did this mean that she was alive now? That she could grow up now? Questions rushed through her mind as she struggled to make sense of her surroundings. She was standing surrounded by ferns in the middle of a pine forest in the late afternoon. Everything looked strange, unfamiliar. She wasn't used to earth any more. Taylia was used to the soft heavens of the sky, to a blissful, if rather dull, life. But now, on earth, there was so much she had forgotten and her sense felt overwhelmed as strange sights, smells and sounds rushed in. She recognised the smell of fresh rain. That was something she did remember. Her owners used to take her out on walks every time it stopped raining. She wondered if they were still alive. She missed them. Especially the little girl....

Tentitively, Taylia stepped forward. Her legs were shaking. She wasn't used to walking on solid ground. She wondered if there were any other angels here. Somewhere in the distance, a howl erupted into the air. Taylia had never seen or heard a wolf before, so she didn't know what it was, but it made her fur stand up on ends.

Another howl. Fear rushed down Taylia's spine. They were getting closer...

Tanelía opened her starry blue eyes groggily. Or at least, she tried to. The flames were blinding, and she felt a spasm of dizzyness pass over her. She was sure she was being dragged. Where? Why? Why had she woken up at all? And more imortantly, where was Lucille? Tane's head was buzzing with questions, but she didn't have the stregth to try to answer any of them. The heat was blistering. Smoke choked her, and she had to struggle to remain conciouse. She should have remembered that it was important never to fall asleep during a fire. To be honest, remembering wouldn't have made much of a differance. At that point she had been so exausted she wouldn't have been able to go any further anyways.

'I can walk,' she tried to say but it turned out more of a croak. She pulled herself up, but another wave of dizzyness swet through her and she staggered to keep from falling on the ground. She wouldn't be fast enough, but at least she wouldn't slow the others down. Suddenly, a flash of black and white shot past the corner of her eye... closer to the fire.
'Lucille! Get over here!'she gasped. She tried to turn back, but another flaming pine blocked the way.

Tanelía had to grab a tree trunck to keep herself from falling to the ground. If she could barely stand like this, how was on earth she supposed to run? Lucille will figure out a way to get out, she tryed to tell herself. Besides, even if she could run, what would she have done? Jumped over the fallen tree, grabbed Lucille, and jumped back with her in her arms? That would never have worked. Maybe she could have found away around the tree, but Lucille was surrounded by flames. There really was nothing any of them could do. But Tane refused to give up on Lucille. There had to be something, something that would work...

_-_*~_-_~*_-_

Lucille felt a hot spark scorch her matted fur. She couldn't see any possible escape. She was encircled. Tanelía had no way of helping her. She didn't want Tanelía to help her. It would be to dangerous. She just wanted Tanelía to run, as fast as she possibly could, away from the fire. Luce was terrified, though. Where were the other animals? How had her escape been blocked? A few seconds ago, she had been only minutes away from safety, and now she was facing what was almost certain death in the roaring flames. Yes, she was frightened. Who wouldn't be? But fear would do nothing to help her. She would have to think straight. She couldn't stay here and wait to be burnt alive. That much was certain. Water, she thought, if only I could somehow get my paws on water...

Lightpelt flicked her tail in contempt. It had been days since she had last eaten, and her stomach was rumbling. She hated the solitary Cofinment. If only, if only she had planned her escape more carefully. If only the keeper hadn't spoted her as she had climbed the tree. The keepers had heated this room to make her even more miserable - the place she came from was always freezing, and her coat was matted with sweat. She did not miss the company, but she did miss the Main Pen. The space was confined, though not as confined as it was in the Solitary Confinment, and the treatment was cruel even there, but anything - anything - was better than here.

Lightpelt heard someone opening the latch. She tryed to jump to her feet, but was too weak after spending so long in the Solitary confinment. Someone grabbed her scruff, and she felt herself being pulled towards a cage. She tryed to struggle, but her consciousness was slowly slipping away. In the background, she heard someone mutter something about some new punishment. She knew she should have been more cautious...

SilverDoe wrote:Líanda looked up at the luxurious carpet as she walked into the train. So you're trying to make sure we die well pampered, or what's the point of all this? she thought. Ah well, might as well enjoy it while I can. Tears fought there way up but Líanda pushed them back. Her friends and family would be watching this. She didn't want them to feel worse for her than they already did. It would be bad enough for them to watch her be sent towards certain death. They didn't have to see her cry, too. She settled down onto the couch in her compartment, resisting the urge to bury her head into her pillow. Instead, she channeled all her anger and grief into a burning rage for the Capitol. Anger would help her stay alive. Breaking down, on the other hand, wouldn't. She hoped her death wouldn't be filmed.

They reached the station, where new tributes would come onto the train. Líanda quickly pulled her face into a calm, collected mask. She would not get to know the other tributes. That would only make killing them harder. She tidied her hair, so as not to look disevlished. She could not, would not let anyone she her appear weak. Maybe if she looked strong on the outside, it would also make her stronger on the inside. She tried to straighten her knees. They were shaking. The door creaked open and in came her escort holding a tray and saying she should go outside to asses the other tributes strenghths and weaknesses. She paused, her stomach grumbling, but the escort practically shoved her out the door, saying the food could wait - this was a matter of survival during the games. She sounds more like a mentor, Líanda thought. More tributes would be filing out soon, and she found herself hardly prepared in the middle of a soon-to-be-full corridor. Keeping herself looking indifferent became a lot harder as her heart beat against the cage of her ribbs and she closed her eyes, waiting to look into the faces of those she would have to kill if she was to survive.

SilverDoe- Your first post is only 4 pages away, and this club is a club that takes a long time to accept. It isn't a particularly fast-moving thread either. Sometimes it's weeks before BlissfulFarrago gets a chance to update. So don't worry, your form will get seen. But if I'm right, I'm pretty sure you can post even if you aren't accepted. But don't hold me to that.

Sands and Seas[Semi-Lit Winged Cat Roleplay]

Plot

"Welcome to Beach Sanctuary. It's where the kast of our kind live. Our kind meaning Winged Cats." The cat gestures towards the beach from the cliff edge it's is perched on with a wing. "It doesn't seem like much, but we're all family here, really. Most of us get along." A wry smile appears on the cat's face.

"Most of the time it's fun around here. We bask in the sun, play around in the sky and hunt and fish. We're taught fighting as well, but we haven't had to use that in years. I hope we don't ever have to use it in the future." A sigh escapes the cat's mouth, but it perks up quite quickly.

"It's not only winged cats here, these days, any cat is accepted to join our colony. Wings or not, you're still family and still feline. Besides, we need fresh blood to mix in here. It gets dull witht he same cats all the time. How? Yeah, we're not immortal but we generally have a longer lifespan than the average feline." The cat shrugs, it's wings ruffling at the motion.

"Though sometimes our numbers are decreased...and not from age. We aren't the only ones here. Sea eagles and any bird of prey larger than us isn't afraid to make a meal out of us. It's not like no one ever accidentally falls out of one of the nests on the cliff and doesn't open his or her wings in time. The incredibly rare canine that manages to find it's way into the entrance to here is always a nuisence...a dangerous one. We generally have to kill them so they can't 'tell their friends' about how they found this wonderful place full of cats to chase! A single dog or fox or wolf is bad. A pack? No." The cat sighs again, standing up to go.

"I've gotta go, my Fishing Flock is calling. See, we have different 'Flocks' for different jobs. There's the Fishing Flock, Hunting Flock, Protection Flock, Royal Flock, Medicinal Flock, Training Flock and Teaching Flock. Each Flock does it's duty and nothing else, except in battle. But I wouldn't know. You're welcome to join us, but you'll need the Royal Flock's permission first. The Royal Den is in that strange, building-like rock formation. Enter from the bottom." With a gush of air and a quiet snap the cat takes off in the direction of the sea.

This RP sounds very interesting, but the only thing I would worry about is people not wanting to abondon/kill off their characters. Other than that I would join in a heartbeat ^^

Normally I don't care for roleplays such as this, but this one caught my attention for some reason. That's probably because it combines two of my favorite writing elements: cats and wings. n.n I'll look forward to it if you make it a roleplay. . . I have one question, though; how did the cats end up with wings?
Also, will it have an actual plot from the beginning, or will it be introduced soon afterwards? Roleplays without plots tend to die a lot more quickly, and it would be a real shame for that to happen. . .

I'm working on the cats explanation of that, which I'll probably make the reserved post about. I'll probably come up with the real reason once it comes to me, I have a partial idea though.

The link is in the stamp in my siggie, the one on the bottom right. City Lights, my other roleplay, didn't really have much of a plot and it's at twohundred seventy something pages. Plots seem to develop randomly there.

Sample of writing: Nima; roamed around her pack the forest grass wet with the morning dew the prey scent was appealing and she felt her heart lift as the wind raced through her fur she smiled and ran with it letting it take her to a nice cool stream she drank the crystal water then looked up as a herd of elk walked through shequickly got into a stalking position and pinpointed the weakest one as soon as she smelled it and spotted it she inched closer until fianlly she laeped onto its back taking it down she bit it's neck until his screams were drownmed out then drug it back to the den site happily at the morning's sucess she walked back to camp slowly savoring every bit of the morning air she didnt want spring to end not after what had happened last winter Nima had lost her whole litter of pups and they hadnt even lived to see the outside the memories dampned Nima's thoughts but she shook them away there was no reason to dwell on the past. Nima laid down her kill she looked around the pack was small but easy to care for and love her beta was able to take charge of the pack while her and Cairo spent time together she loved her mate and hoped that one day they would sat a family together and help the pack thrive and live peacefully but until then, she was ahppy the way she was after eating half the meat she left it for the other wolves and laid down in the sun feeling the rays soothe her stiff muscles seeing her mate approach her made her heart race and spirits soar she smiled and stood quickly bounding over and nuzzling his warm black fur. His amber eyes appraised her while his nose sucked in her scent smiling she licked her head lovingly she touched noses with him and smiled warmly she definetly didnt want spring to end.

Would anyone here be interested in a sort of I Am Number Four based roleplay? When I say that, I mean based off the book I Am Number Four. I would probably make some adjustments, but I was just curious as to if anyone would be possibly interested. Please drop me a PM if you have any ideas! |D
