Yeah, and if you invite Nat or Chip to the Roost via amiibo cards, they both mention their relation to Flick and CJ respectively, Nat is Flick's father and Chip is CJ's father, which leads me to believe that CJ is short for Chip Jr.

Bit off topic from the current convo but I grinded so hard to catch my first Mahi Mahi in NH yesterday, I had a timer set up and everything

I'm so excited for the sharks next month though, gonna have a collection of em like I did in New Leaf!

I have just bought the game and know nothing about it, but I am already excited to play! Are there any tips or important things that I need to know?

Whenever you catch a new insect/fish/deep sea creature, save it until you unlock the museum! After that always make sure you donate the first thing of everything you catch so your museum fills up quicker.

The little star shaped hole looking things in the ground have fossils in them that you can dig up, make sure to donate those to the museum too!

But honestly, with any Animal crossing game, remember to go at your own pace <3

Don’t compare your island to others! (I see people get depressed over this a lot)

For one, It took them a LONG time to get that way. The game has been out for what, 2 years? It’s a really slow process! Plus most islands aren’t going to look like the ones you see on social media, so just do what feels good for you. My island is pretty average but I still get compliments.

Most importantly the thing to remember most, just relax and have fun! Ac is a very very very very slow burn game. Part of the fun (for me at least) is thinking about what I want to do the next day once the day rolls over. :>

If you want tips on making bells pretty much the best ways I’ve found is:
1. Buying turnips and search for another person who has good turnip prices. Hands down the most lucrative way to become a bellionare in no time…. Honestly though it’s incredibly stressful for everyone involved. As someone who hosted for the longest time because I loved helping people… I probably won’t do it again. The loading screens are AWFUL, especially after going back to new leaf. (How does a 3ds game do better than a switch game??)

2. You don’t make nearly as much as number 1; buuuuuut it’s my favorite way by far because I’m an introvert: Grow and sell crops! If you have a big enough garden you can make more than enough to buy from nooks and do home upgrades.

3. Dive for sea creature to sell. (The wet suit doesn’t break like rods or nets so to me it’s less stressful)

4. Grow golden or blue roses. They sell for decent prices as is but you get even more money if you know a flower diy that uses them.

Aaaa I'm so excited!! So y'know I'm playing New Leaf again, and I've been getting some uh...interesting villagers so far. The only ones I'm really enjoying are Tipper and Molly, and I suppose Marshal and Beau are okay, but I'm hoping the others will ask to move out. Cole asked to move out a few days ago, and I was a little torn since he is sorta cute. Well, now I'm actually glad that I said he should move, because guess who visited my campsite today?
It's Merengue! My favorite villager! My girl! I can't believe I was lucky enough to get her in my campsite, and even luckier that a villager wants to move soon. I would've been pretty sad if she couldn't move in. c':

Oh wow, that is SUPER lucky! I pretty much only get good villagers through amiibo and trading. It’s extra bad because me and my boyfriend spot pass all our undesirables to each other lol. But hey at least I occasionally get ice cream from the spot passes so that takes the sting off a bit… just a bit tho. >_>

I’ve kinda been too busy with other games lately to play since the eshop is closing. I’ve been going between fantasy life and yokai. I’m starting to really get that itch to play new leaf again tho! I’ve been listening to a lot of AC themed songs on my Spotify, so it’s getting me in the mood for it’s chill vibes. :”D

Poo, Bonbon moved out. I mean I can get her back vi amiibo but I’d basically have to reset her friendship. =_=

Does anyone find it odd that I set up all my non-fruit trees in one section, which I call my Lumber Yard? The only thing I regret about it is that it's harder to tell when there's a bug on the trees other than the row lowest in the lumber yard. I'm not 100% sure I want to go through all the work of moving them so they're close together but far apart enough that I can tell when there's a bug on them.

Faybell wrote:I know, I meant it’s cool how they leave Easter eggs for future games. I don’t think AC has too many? Though if you know more, do tell. I love learning about that kind of stuff. Pokémon has a lot of Easter eggs to future games but that’s the first one I heard of in AC.

I think my favorite is how the special npc backstory seems to grow across all the games. Like I think kappn was single in wild world but was married in new leaf. It was so cute seeing his family grow. I love hearing about his life from his little sea shanties.

idk if this i what u mean,, but ik the songs kk sings when you request a song that doesn't exist get added into the new game as a real song (like an item you can get instead of just random chance kk will sing it). like the song Animal City in new horizons was one of the 4 (i think) unamed songs kk slider had the chance of singing,,, i think its pretty neat,, like kk slider makes a song up on the spot and later it becomes an offical song in universe
