Gotta be Rodeo. That guy's up to something, I can see it in those beady red eyes.

I just realized looking back at the video, and along with Fang, there's ten villagers in the scene, plus the player character. I can't believe I didn't notice this, but when I did, I realized the only way that having all ten villagers in one place complaining about somebody who's not in the room, it means they're complaining about a special character, right?

Could be a campsite villager too, to be fair.

Friendly reminder that purchases with a debit/credit card are closing in the 3ds/wii U eshop on the 23rd (only a few days away!). Adding funds vi eshop cards close August 29th, 2022 (a few months away!)

Make sure there isn’t any animal crossing (or other games) you want before that happens! In case you were unaware all the physical copies of 3ds games are starting to disappear (even common games!) and going for insane mark up prices. ( at least in the US, not sure about other markets) This issue will probably only get worse once the eshop is fully closed so don’t wait

Edit: For real though I wonder what’s up with that? Like I know some of it is caused by the first few months of the pandemic and people wanting stuff to do… but like even common games are disappearing. I wonder if people are buying used Nintendo games to just flip and sell for more money?

People probably caught wind that the 3DS shop is closing, so the price gougers are out in force to buy up what they can to sell for more, since we won't be able to get any games any other way soon. I was looking around trying to find PMD: Explorers of Time or Explorers of Sky, and none that I found were below $70. I get the feeling that the more common games, at least, will become cheaper once the hype and frenzy die down, since most people don't use their 3DS much if at all, and the sellers will have to move their stock eventually.

Mm yeah that’s probably it. Lately scalpers have felt like they’re going after anything and everything remotely uncommon or popular. But yeah hopefully things calm down after a while. I went ahead and bought a digital copy of alpha sapphire just in case though. I might also grab nintendogs too, I gave my physical copy to my niece at some point.

If anyone needs a recommendation, I’d definitely grab fantasy life if you like rpgs. I already own the physical version but I’d def buy it if I didn’t. ^_^

Listen to this, in the original Animal Crossing and Animal Forest +, there was an unseen magazine called Fauna's Magazine. IDK if Fauna was in the games back then, I'm too young to remember GameCube games, but still, I found it amusing when I learned about it. Apparently, Tom mentions the magazine as a sales pitch when buying clothing, claiming that the magazine calls the selected clothing hip

My first game was wild world but I don’t think she appeared as a villager until new leaf? At least that’s what her fandom page says. But yeah it’s cool how there is little details like that sprinkled in.

When I said Tom mentions the magazine, I meant in the original Animal Crossing and Animal Forest +, not the more recent games

I know, I meant it’s cool how they leave Easter eggs for future games. I don’t think AC has too many? Though if you know more, do tell. I love learning about that kind of stuff. Pokémon has a lot of Easter eggs to future games but that’s the first one I heard of in AC.

I think my favorite is how the special npc backstory seems to grow across all the games. Like I think kappn was single in wild world but was married in new leaf. It was so cute seeing his family grow. I love hearing about his life from his little sea shanties.
