Oh and I went back to playing new leaf again. I like NH too of course but it feels more like a decorating sim then a life sim.

Heads up to everyone: But the 3ds eshop is actually shutting down soonish so if you don’t have the NL update downloaded, I’d do that sometime this year. You won’t be able to buy new stuff within the next few months but the update itself will probably be up till next year (still I wouldn’t chance it and do it asap).

Thanks, she's based off Brightheart from the Warriors books, as well as us having a sitting cat pet like her. I can't remember the user's name, but another member of the club created an Animal Crossing villager based of the raven dog pet here

Nice! I don’t really have any goals so far, tho I guess it’d be nice to beat the desert island escape mini game? I was pretty good back in the day. Lol not even going to try the puzzle game, my vision sucks too bad for those quick paced games.

Assuming you’re playing on a 3ds, I’d recommend joining a discord. I’ve gotten a few regional items exclusive to uk and Japan that way.

New leafs graphics aren’t actually all that bad, it’s the 3ds fault it looks a bit fuzzy. If you look up pictures/video of people playing it in citra it looks decent. Granted NH still looks better but NL was made over 10 years ago. I wish they’d port it to the switch but no way they would ever do that, or if they did it would be on their dumb “premium” switch online service. 🙄

Make sure to buy whatever you guys want on the 3ds eshop before they close purchases for it this summer. I kinda doubt they’ll ever do any ports that let you actually own the game.

Found this old screenshot from New Leaf. Thinking of remaking it in New Horizons, but not sure if I should do it this way, or if I should make the top and use a Jester's mask instead of a custom pattern knit cap

All this New Leaf talk finally convinced me to dust off my old 3DS and download the update. I'm going to reset my save, but part of me is hesitant because of sentimental reasons. c': Same thing happened when I reset my Nintendogs save, it was a bittersweet moment. But I haven't played NL in years, so it's probably better to start over.

Yeah starting over can be hard, I have 3 copies because of me wanting to hold onto a couple towns lol (NL is only 20$ rn). Might buy another copy for my Japanese 2ds before the eshop closes (maybe).

If there is any items you’d like to keep I can hold onto them for you in my TT town. That or if there is a villager you’d like to start with I could see if I have their amiibo (I have a whole binders worth of them).
