I love every era of MCR.... But I have to stay Revenge Era was great because they were all so cute and Especially Frankie! Even though he was super skinny and needed to eat.
But it will never be as fun as Danger Days Era.

And who doesn't love the bullets era?

i can play vampire money, mama, the black parade, na na na and most of revenge tbh lmao on guitar, welcome to the black parade, mama and a slightly ad-libbed version of s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w that i had to do basically by ear and with a lot of experimenting tbh

also i met gerard earlier in the year and i cried!! tbh he's lovely and he's really good to talk to, i talked to him about comic ideas and character concepts for 45 minuets and he said they were great [that was the point where i started crying lmao]
but yea he's totally great tbh have fun meeting him aaaaa

My sister says I'm going to be disappointed because it won't be what I'm believing its gonna be in my mind. But how would she know what I'm thinking? Just to meet Gerard and thank him for everything is awesome! I'm going to give him my letter and hope to God he reads it. I really would love to give him a hug, (and not cry. But we all now that as tough as I may be- I will sob.) and thank him again.

Anyway! My favourite era... Hm. Easily The Black Parade. I love the whole concept of their looks and did you know that Tim Burton designed their costumes?! The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride are two of my favourite films and I almost like died when I heard that.

Also, I might be buying myself a Pansy and hopefully getting the letters for it.

@ people hunting down band members,
I feel you. I live in the same city as Ryan Ross and I walk around town with a print out of the "Not in 1D" tweet just in case I see him. Also, one time I went to a certain theme park because Panic! At the Disco were periscoping there. I ditched work and ran around the park yodeling and looking for them. I would do the same Mcr came to my area. They're never here though. Rest in peace.

Also, the Pansy guitar is so cool. I played with a band once where the guitarist had it and he let me touch it. It plays so nicely. I went to Guitar Center to get it once but it's hella expensive so I bought the Synister Gates guitar and a guitar like the one Ryan Ross plays during Pretty. Odd. and it was still less than the Frank Iero Phantomatic. I think now that I have an actual job, I should probably pick it up before it is discontinued but I have so many guitars but still, it's so pretty. I also really really really like the Mikey bass. It's my aesthetic and it would look so good on stage with what I wear. I just am super reluctant to buy it because I don't particularly like or want to support Mikey. Please don't shoot me.

Favorite era...
There are aspects of every era I liked. The first album was so not well put together it was super crust punk almost which was cool. The Black Parade hit really close to home with the hospital aspects and circus/freak show feel to it and the artwork that went with it was beautiful. It also had certain a Italian renaissance flare to it. Black Parade was seriously inspiring as an artist and writer and I think the theme of the album carried on so well in artwork, staging, and costuming. Danger Days was great as someone who loves comic books because it had such a stereotypical science fiction vibe with a twist of punk. That being said, the Revenge Era is probably my favorite. The gothic costumes and makeup were so gorgeous. It gave a sense of meaning and elegance to the simplicity of death and I think the aesthetic of that album really helped me to get over my paranoia of the supernatural because it showed that death can be haunting in a beautiful way, not a scary one. The revenge era has inspired me a lot as a mortician as well-by practicing the looks during the revenge era has really helped me learn how to backtrack the makeup I apply to corpses if that makes sense.

@ Wentz & Blurry Face, about the guitars, my black Les Paul is named Frankie after Frank Iero because he's the person that originally made me want a Les Paul. I've had it since I was like 14-15 and it is still my favorite guitar to this day. It plays so well and sounds fantastic since I put custom pickups in it and I just effin love that guitar to bits, holy wow.

My original intention was to get a white one in honor of Pansy but I saw my black LP in a music store and it was just the guitar for me.

@ Jaded - I feel the same way about the Mikey bass, I love the way it looks and the body platform but I can't bring myself to buy it because I don't like Mikey at all anymore. He was never my favorite MCR member anyway but after the whole cheating scandal I lost ALL respect for him and feel like that's part of what led to MCR disbanding.

QOTD - Revenge era. It's my favorite MCR album and I love all the aesthetics/imagery they used during that time. I loved the whole vampire/gothy vibe. To me nothing is as quintessentially MCR the the Three Cheers era.

I also enjoyed the Black Parade era a lot too though.

Firstly, welcome to wentz or Pete or whatever you wanna be called c:

Uhhhm my favourite era was probably the black parade era (heh I am in original) because the costumes and the slant their music took was amazing, just the whole angle of that era and album really appealed to me. I mean, yeah danger days was a fun concept and it was good, but as it was a comic, it never seemed to have the same depth that other eras did. Black parade was a really good concept, the whole idea of a black parade....

And onto the Mikey debate, he was never my favourite. In fact, he was my least favourite. The fact that he said that he didn't want to continue in MCR after the black parade, but they launched straight into a new album so the opportunity never arose, made me a bit sad. It made me think that even though he learnt bass just to join Gerard's band, that his heart was never in it, and that is kinda sad for such a emotional band, you want them all to really play with wholeheartedness and emotion and hearing that made me think he was reluctant. And also of course the whole cheating jazz. He also has changed a lot, as though he is getting rid of all traces of MCR...
I do however think he is a talented guy and he added a bit of his personality to the band and that is important.
