Whatever happens, the fanclub here will remain unlocked c: I also like the idea of allowing other users to post breeding tickets for those who can't/won't go on DA, but of course there would have to be some kind of proof of permission so we know those users do agree to their vaikis being bred.

ahh i haven't been active much lately [on cs and in vaikis], so moving to dA would definitely be something i support since i spend the majority of my time on dA now–and i could be more active as an artist and community member. i personally find dA a lot more convenient, but then again that's my opinion x3 while i do see the downsides to moving (there are always some that cant be avoided), i certainly think the benefits would be amazing.

one thing i would hate to see happen, would be for vaikis to close completely ;A; i've been with these since the very beginning, and we have a wonderful team/community that i dont want to lose (:

I've been a silent stalker of these cuties for about a year now, but I don't have one to call my own :') If they moved to dA, I'd definitely still watch for new adopts and such!

It is sad to hear they're moving off CS though ;~;

I understand where this is coming from, Vaikis aren't as active as they once were. I used to post on the fanclub quite often, but I kinda fell out of it due to the lack of time I had.

Anyways I would like to gift Aileen and Cinnamon to two non owners, just pm me. It will be not fcfs. I will pick a winner probably on Monday, but you have to be a non owner. Also please make sure you tell me which one you want. You can change whatever about them, they're pretty much blank slates. Also they are due for growths.

i basically agree with everyone who thinks they should be moved to da! i'll miss them greatly here, but it'll bring in a new community and more artists on da. vaikis aren't that active on here as they used to be, so if they get moved to da, they'll probably be more active than they are at the moment. i'm not that active on da, but this'll surely give me a reason to. there's only a few cons, which is the people on here who can't go on da and i probably won't be able to purchase any if they go for money/points, but i'm sure other people will probably be able to. i think it would be a great choice to move them to da, rather than closing them completely! honestly i was never that active in the vaiki community on here and i kinda regret it, but if they get moved i will be more active in the community over on da, hopefully! but in the end, it's your choice ege, and i'll respect it. ♥

also, i have a readoption going on and anyone could enter! it's a real simple gif contest and ends on the 2nd post of page 2!

Thank you all for the feedback, I really appreciate everyone's support (both for the years here on CS and for the future) ;v; The majority of you seem to be in favor of moving to DA so I'm going to at least try- please be patient as moving over will take some time. I also forgot to mention in the original announcement but if you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me!


I'll start with combining all the tokens from various events into one overall token bank. If you plan to use your tokens at any point, please PM me with this form so I can move them all over into the new bank. You don't have to join vaikis on DA to use your tokens; the item shop here will still be open at least for a while.

Tokens can be transferred from the Christmas event bank, vaicarnival event bank, and beach event bank. Tokens from other events have already been automatically transferred into one of those three banks. Be sure to check under previous usernames of yours, as these events go back to last summer.

I apologize if this is inconvenient, but I'm doing this in order to cut down on the size of the bank so it only contains active users rather than moving everyone over automatically. I won't reply to PMs since there'll probably be a lot, unless you have a question or something in your PM.

I'm a little late on input here, but even though I'm not that active on DA if not active at all,
I would love this species to be moved over there to keep it alive and active! I'd definitely get
on DA and participate as well- I love my 'kis and would love to stay in this lovely community.

If they were moved to DA, they would have more opportunity to flourish with better art
capability and more artists to participate in making them. As much as it is saddening to
see them leave CS as a whole, they would most likely be just as great on DA as they were here!

Hey I'm late to the party as well, but I'd like to give my 2 cents on the topic as well!

I honestly think that moving Vaikis to DA would be great!
There's been a lot of issues with the Oekaki program in general, and I know a lot of artists can no longer use it on their computers!
There's also a wider audience of people on DA that Vaiki's can reach, and it's a bit easier to keep track of all the fanart and other content that may be made!

As much as CS is a great platform for starting a closed species, it's not that great for the species owner. There's issues within the CS system that make it hard for species owners to do anything with their species, and with protecting them/species theft issues.
Communities can easily get out of hand here on CS, and the limitations on the forums here prevent species owners and moderators from actually keeping problematic people away from the community. Many species have closed just because of a few problematic people that couldn't ever be truly banned due to the forum settings.
Many species have also been closed simply because they were deemed to be too similar to another, even if the other was created more recently.
I think we'd all like to see Vaikis keep going, and not become one of those closed species communities that has bad rumors floating around about it.

However, moving to DA would solve a lot of those problems!
It's much easier to moderate who is able to view the group and species, and it would also give the opportunity for the artists to sell some vaikis and get a little something more then just a custom vaiki for all the time and effort that they have been putting in! (this goes for Ege too!)

Ege would be able to go further into the lore and story behind the vaiki species as well, and honestly I'm so ready for that.
I've always wondered about the history of them, and DA would make it much easier for Ege to create the lore and for us all to access it!

Also consider this, new offsite vaiki lines may be made if they move and honestly that'd be so dang cute?

tldr: I'm supporting Ege's decision to move Vaiki's to DA!
It'll help bring interest back to the species, and give her more freedom to work with them!
